For my first I went with the 111H. It's been my daily beater for the last month or so, it's a great classic. Went to an AD last weekend and tried on a 177H and I was extremely impressed with the look and feel. If you can get to an AD to try both on it might help you decide. Either one would be a great first PAM. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Great looking PAM! The brightness of the lume is excellent! Is this a Davidsen? or did you get all the mods separately? I'm trying to decide between getting a Davidsen or doing the mods to my older asian 111H.

That's a sweet 177H! So is Davidsen out of commission? If so I'm probably better off just sending out my current 111H for all the fixes(relume, new hands, crown, and cannon pin fix) Thanks for the info!

I know back in November a new version came out, but almost immediately there was work on a new one. Anybody have any updates? I have an older 111H that I wear almost daily, but has all the obvious flaws so I'm looking to spring for a shiny new one instead of upgrading my current daily beater thats starting to show some age. I'm thinking this should be alot easier than it's been. I'm trying to get a razor blade up under the rim and pry up lightly with no luck. Working with a Sub bezel is a breeze compared to this. I've searched around the archives and couldn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Has Trusty replied back with a price for the custom made 177? I'm wondering if this "Custom" is the same as the one he has currently on his site or if he has 2 different versions. I'm about to pull the trigger myself on a 177H.

I think I'll go with the accelerated natural approach. Lots of thumb action with just a bit of morning forehead oil. Thanks again! I'll due some before and after shots when the strap arrives.

I'm looking to purchase a manifattuer firenze 1942 for my PAM063. Does anybody have any method to speed up the natural patina process such as using leather oils or conditioners to darken it up a bit? I know 3-4 months of daily wear will probably do it, but I figured somebody has self-distressed one quicker. Thanks
