    Air-King

Great work JB! You wouldn't happen to have any Air-King builds laying around you want to part with do you? I've been looking for a nice silver faced Air-King for my wife. They're hard to locate these days.
  2. Thanks for the all the replies. Removing the bezel was no problem at all.
  3. Insert complete - Next up gen Crystal.
  4. Just received a Yuki 1665 GW yesterday and I have a very lightly aged gen service insert that I'm itching to mount. Is the bezel assembly removal like that of a MBW 1680 where you lightly apply pressure up or does it have a spring that needs pushed back?
  5. Thanks for all the great advice I really appreciate it! I'll feel more comfortable not restricting Canada buyers in the future.
  6. Anybody have any problems shipping watches to Canada from the US? What are some of the issues if any that I should be concerned with? What carrier is recommended? Thanks
  7. Thanks for posting the great pics. I just put in an order with TC yesterday for a V6 I couldn't resist any longer but it's going to be a long 5-6 weeks!
  8. Thanks - Vac has done all my relume in the past. I'll send him a PM.
  9. Never had a rep serviced only relumed. In need of a service for my newly acquired mbw 1680 and would like to find someone local. PM me any good sources. Thanks!
  10. When you point it out and enlarge the photo you can see it but on the wrist 99.9% won't see it or know the difference. I guess there is negatives and positives to both options - trim the dial or enlarge the dial seat. I'm leaning toward trimming the dial but still undecided. Great looking 1680 btw I really like the all white dial.
  11. @alligoat Thanks for the advice - I agree the dial will be a challenge. I contacted Whoop about one of his new mk3 red 1680 dials and he offered to trim it down to 26.2 I'll probably go that route - his fonts look pretty good for aftermarket.
  12. Thanks for all the great advice - I'm going to leave it untouched and just wear it to create its own natural character.
  13. Well I've been bitten by the vintage bug big time! Picked up this MBW red 1680 beauty last week from a fellow member(omgiv) and it already had a couple nice mods already completed a gen crystal - gen crown - gen tube. About to do my first mod with a gen insert that arrived yesterday along with a lightly aged MBW insert. So here's my dilema I can't decide whether to age the gen insert or not and if I did I don't want to over do it - just a light aging. Or leave it and let it age on it's own. Here's a pic with the aged rep insert installed and then with the gen insert placed on top. Next up will be dropping in a better dial. Can't believe I waited so long to go vintage.
  14. Thanks Sneed that's good to hear - I'll just stick with the TW crystal. I've already added a watchmaterial pearl so all that's left is the crown and tube install and I'll call this project complete.
  15. Picked up one of BK's TW subs a few months back and wondering if anybody has upgraded to a Clark crystal. I've not seen a comparison between the stock and Clark. What's the general recommendation? I have a genuine crown & tube that needs to be installed and I'm trying to decide what other mods to include before I send it off. Thanks!
  16. Looks great! If you're thinking about building a few to sell let me know!
  17. Awesome! I don't mind waiting it'll be worth it - just wanted to stay in the loop.
  18. Great pics! Thanks for posting. I have a question - Is BK actively shipping the TW Sub? I contacted him around the end of January and he mentioned holding off ordering until he received a new batch of dials.
  19. Thanks Hooky! That ties it all together - I now have an accurate description so I can list it.
  20. I bought this from a fellow member probably a year and a half ago or so and it's been in the watch box ever since. I never really took it, but I can't remember who the seller was or what the movement was. It came with an extra case that's thinner than this one. Any help identifying the movement would be great cause I'm thinking about selling it.
  21. Hope you guys can work this out! I'm definitely in for a NON-COSC or COSC 14060 version!!
  22. I purchased a PAM176 from a VIP member and it arrived DOA. I know it had worked before shipping because it had wound all the way down. I wound it half way and nothing - gave it a couple light shakes still nothing - then wound it on out and still nothing. Hopefully it's an easy fix. Something probably during shipping. Maybe the crown slipped off the winding mech. The seller was great and agreed to pay in full the repair so here's my question should I send this off to one of our local experts or try to find a local watchsmith to tackle it. I had a local guy who use to work on my rolex reps, but he doesn't touch the PAM's. Also any ideas what it might be the problem? Thanks!
