Dave, Welcome to the forum. This is the best place to get a great education on watches. I have been really enjoying increasing my knowledge. There are some real experts posting here. I am in Delaware. Maybe if we run into some more members in the tri state area we could arrange a GTG, like some of the other folks in other areas do. It would be a great excuse to grab some good food and trade watch stories. Joe

I posted the same question back in May. I ended up purchasing an assortment of very small metric taps. Had no sucess, as the threads were tapped from the band side of the lug, and it is very difficult to start to chase the thread from the finish side, as mine were buggered up from the shop drilling the lug part way for the screw head recess. by mistake. I could get it started in the good lug side, no problem. If your threads are messed up on the band side of the lug you may be OK. I ordered the taps from Micro Tools, I also posted a link to the in a previous post. I'll see if I can find the taps in my box and then give you the size that worked. JR

Lani, Glad to see you are back and kicking! I have been away from the forum myself for a while. Too much going on at work. No rush on this project. It's a nice to have but not the most important thing. I have gotten a little wiser with my forum readng and research. There is quite a lot to digest. The list will make it much easier to scope out the "best" but is a lot of fun doing the legwork also. Cheers, JR

Guys, This really sounded like a great idea. Was this happening and I missed it? I am still rather new here and not a real expert yet, that will take a long time.... Looking at all of the experience collected here on the forum to get better. I just acquired a SOSF white dial, Swiss eta, and am really impressed. Should be on the list. JR
