  1. I'd find someone in Japan !!.. the problem is "if" it were replicated where our usual reps are made.. the quality of the CZ's and the workmanship of the settings would be terribly lacking,... I wouldn't want to ask the price from Honpo.. A~C L
  2. Swapped this on Friday.. Cal 861 .. Moon.. I wanted to fit these images in for the backdrop.. so I'll just add it on to the wristi my fav valley.. tropical rain forest.. A~C Lani
  3. A little more info on the models The Professional c.861 Models (Pre & Post Moon): 1968-1969 Speedmaster ST145.022: Then there are the "Pre-Moon Pro c.861's" (ST145.022) which have the exact external appearance of the modern moonwatch except for the caseback which bears no mention of NASA or moon landings. These were only made from approximately 1968 through the first part of 1969 and has the older "large Seamonster" case back. c.1970?~1977? Speedmaster ST145.022: Then we have the first of the "Post Moon" watches... These are the one's with the large Omega Logo and the words "First watch Worn on the moon"... These were made from late 1969 or 1970 through 1977 or so (I believe that's the date) when the "modern/current" moonwatch back became the installed caseback.
  4. That was my initial "guess".. but benefit of doubt.. I just placed it somewhere in the 70's.. thank you for the verification Kurt... and a good weekend to you also my friend !! L
  5. thanks DL..Dems...Red.. Best research I could do puts this one at..1970~77 ... the same model is pre 70's, although I doubt it is in that vintage.. obviously the pexi crystal was changed... Below are the model and years.. I doubt it is 1968-69 .. so for the benefit of the doubt I put it at 70-77 .. although I'll stand correct.. but this is what I came up with.. The Pro. c.861 Models (Pre & Post Moon): 1968-69 Speedmaster ST145.022: c.1970?~77? Speedmaster ST145.022 A~C Lani edit add: .. it could be possible this cal and model came from the 80's also..but looking at the hands and markers I focused on the late 70's..
  6. Mingray.. I friggin dig your avatar.. Ok.. just thought I'd post that... ... . . . ok.. gotta go now.. . . . I'm leaving...
  7. Did he finally save enough for that transgender operation ??? Hey Dems.. you Homophobic man ??.. not that there's anything wrong with that.. yeah.. we need a villain..or anothe VB... ... Don't believe I said that..
  8. Ok.. so it doesn't have a DW.. of which I almost gotta have.. but I'll make an exception for this genuine Speedy MW.. Wrist shot.. well.. try extending your arm out far enough for a macro whilst manually focusing.. Thanks for viewing A~C Lani
  9. I think this weekend will find me out in the partial forest.. there used to be Hawaiian birds and Amazon parrots.. (the parrots escaped from a bird park years ago..and have multiplied).. same climate as Brazil rain forest here.. anyway .. back on point... thank you and I procured this one from Joshua.. I thought the APROO would look bigger.. and also the Sinn does not wear "Big" on the wrist.. A~C L
  10. A member requested a comparison pic with the Sinn U2 and the APROO.. I'm not at home with my proper equipment so thanks for putting up with the messy shots.. actually I'm in a tropical rain forest.. I should take some wristis outside by the stream and tropical foliage.. oh well.. here's the comparison. A~C Lani
  11. and it was less informative with your absence this year
  12. Controversy has a way of bringing people together for a common cause.. either good or bad.. depends which side of the fence your camping .. And least we forget the "little.. let's tar and feather Lanikai" .. brought me closer to alot of members I didn't know .. glad I was vindicated from that one.. L
  13. Since I need a DW for me to consider it the one and only .. that takes away the Speedy Moon Watch.. I would definitely (for now) go with my Ubifranken Snowflake.. on G-10 or genuine ss bracelet.. L
  14. Let's just start a flame out thread .. internet sparing.. cursing .. then see how many members participate.. it's worth more than a good watch review... Go figure... it's like the goose neckers passing a car wreck with body bags.. The traffic is definately "Seasonal" ... but during the last year a lot of members have just dissapeared .. don't get me wrong.. I'm not saying we should post just for the sake of posting,.. L
  15. What I tried to say is although there are flaws.... capsule @6... second hand paint..... crystal is flat not domed....I am happy with the piece.. the workmanship on the watch is very good.. L What I tried to say is although there are flaws.... capsule @6... second hand paint..... crystal is flat not domed....I am happy with the piece.. the workmanship on the watch is very good.. L
  16. Your posts show off your articulate gift Dems... Good to use past history to lay out the future.. although I'm not harping on members to post just for the sake of posting... we can use TRC's past history to pave the way for RWG NOW,..it's obvious membership has been declining.. granted RG is a whole different age group and style.. and no one is trying to compete nor copy them.. But discussion is good ... better than sweeping it under the carpet and being in denial about the facts.. controversy .. that is what stirs us.. L
  17. This is True !!.. I cannot worry about things that are out of my control...(for a lack of a better word) .. but it's good to hear constructive critique... for the tech stuff.. L
  18. . . the New members need to see what the possibilities of this Community and it's membership are capable of.. but more so that ..... the members here are about support .. no way I could of done any of this stuff by myself.. A~C L
  19. Val .. you of all people .. contribute just as much as anyone here.. we all have lives outside the forum.. family first for those fortunate enough to have them... this thread was more of a brain stormer to bring out issues constructively and in a manner that could benefit the efficiency and harmony of the community.. Your contributions are greatly appreciated as are all the member old and new that put in valuable time.. A~C Lani
  20. +1 ... certainly would be a plus to get the dealers more active on the board... especially when it'll benefit them.. L
  21. +1
  22. Ahhh... you know your psychology of colours...but I think a little red on the watch is fine... we're not talking about a red jacket or shirt .. regardless CS... luck with your interview.. A~C L
