  1. Question: Anyone build a 7032 with DW's case-set? If so, did you install a Gen Crystal? Reason: I have 2 DW 7032 kits and my New in package Gen 25-128 crystal doesn't fit. By that I mean, the inside diameter of the crystal is too big. It falls right off the case. I tried it on both the DW cases and had the same results. My $550.00 Yuki cased 7032(Now gone), was a perfect fit for the crystal and the bezel had to be shaved down a bit. Now I need a little help. Does anyone have a spare stem for the Valjoux 7734? I am helping another member by building his 7032 and the stem he sent is a Tap 8(too fat) I believe I need a Tap 10 or vice-versa :-) Thanks, Kurt
  2. Crown/Tube and crystal bought from Jules Borel. Crystal is flat.
  3. I gave this watch to a friend. I fixed the 12 hour totalizer and changed the hands to Panerai style. It now resides on a Black croc strap with white stitching.
  4. Your drawing is backwards. See here: Better example: Leave the White arrowed tab alone and adjust the black arrowed arm right to lose time and left to gain time. Or send the damn thing to me and I will regulate it for you.
  5. Yes, the proper gasket will help. As for the crystal, is the watch a vintage (Acrylic crystal) or Modern (sapphire crystal)?
  6. Very small movements and then let it run for about 30 minutes. Itt takes the movement awhile to settle in after you adjust it. Less is more. Having a timing machine makes it much easier
  7. Wrong. First: Remove the rotor and bridge. Arm number 2 should NOT be moved. This is to adjust the beat rate. Arm 1 adjusts the length of the spring causing the watch to gain/lose time. Move lever 1 toward lever 2 and you make the watch run slower. Move lever 1 away from lever 2 and you make the watch run faster. Good luck! Wrong. First: Remove the rotor and bridge. 12. They should have made her wear a watch......
  13. I will save everyone the slobbering recollection of my experience save to say that U over at Timeband is the most incredible person to deal with. Awesome communication, assistance and he delivers an incredible product.' If you don't have one of his straps.....shame on you. Now, the pics: BTW, if you don't like the smell of leather....well I do!
  14. Preparing for the next sales thread....... Whilst wearing this:
  15. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Are you staying for a month or more? A valjoux service isn't a day or two turn and any reputable watchmaker would probably have quite a backlog. Heck, my watchmaker is a great friend, but his Rolex clients get first attention and my watches usually go to Zig or my own bench. Good luck.
  17. I have 1 of each and the black centers better than the red.
  18. Buyg the one on ebay (Red on White will cost $20.00 and would be a perfect base to experiment on with decals.
  19. No, no, no.........We need a white background with black numbers. The replacements available are Red numbers on white background. Gen is Black on white.
  20. Who is going to step up and fabricate a BLACK date-wheel or overlay for the Monte Carlo owners with RED date-wheels? C'mon guys, buyers stand at the ready. (at least I stand waiting) Also, has anyone else noticed that most all 7734 dates are shifted to the left of the window for most of the numbers? Perhaps it's just me
