  1. Well it's about time you decided to listen to yourself......now, the 2 of you should read and enjoy this wealth of knowledge. We are here for all of you......Welcome!
  2. Here is a Gen. 5513 for ref.:
  3. Great Reference Pics. The last one shows perfectly what I was referring to. Way to go Snowman!
  4. Well it's not a 90, but it should be a clean, sharp transition. Check the master's corners:
  5. Square off the inside corners of the cg(Where the crown seats) Other than that, I would also take the flat area(Where the tube is inserted)down a few more mm. When the bexel is installed, this area will be below the bezel when viewed from directly above. Kinda like this: And then this: Nice work.....
  6. The case movement clamp screw is wedged between the reverser wheels in the autowind mechanism.......oh, and it's dirty:-)
  7. The man never sleeps. For this, I am thankful....another Ubimasterpiece!
  8. I also like to have 4 bends for a no movement fit...and smooth operation when pressed down and turn. All your points are correct and could be the problem as well.
  9. Amen to that........Salt in the soup.......indeed!
  10. Yes it could. Are you pressing down and turning? Also, Sometimes the bezel can get bent. Lay it on a flst surface and make sure it is uniform and flat
  11. First, it should be hard to turn unless you press down and turn. If it is stiff when you press down and turn, take the bezel off and look at the thin flat washer. If it is bent, make it as flat as possible. If this doesn't help, inspect all pieces for burrs or epoxy. Sometimes the inside of the insert itself is very tight on the crystal....in that case, sand the inner diameter of the insert or replace it. Other than these, I can't help....
  12. Welcome, strap in, hold on tight and never hesitate to ask for help. Enjoy the best group of enthusiast you will ever find in one place.....
  13. Size wise they should be the same. The 5512/5513/1680 all have the same dimensions. The only caveat would be the bezel dimension. So if V sent his bezel to you or took an inside dimension measurement, the crystal dimension is the same. I have used Gen bezels with MBW retention rings so it may work as you already milled for Ubi. Sorry for volunteering you, but I seem to recall that you offered this service upon completion of my project. My apologies if I spoke out of line.....
  14. He made the ring for the watch Ubi built for me. It fits the Gen crystal. So, he already has the measurements.
  15. Already has it. Perhaps Ubi can send you a sample to test fit..... Heck, Just give Jmb a shout. He'll work with you to tweak things if needed......
  16. The bezel is not fixed it turns for 2 timezone tracking. Better use as opposed to the tachy. My issue is the Swiss Army knurled application......really kills it for me......not that I was likely to buy one.
  17. Have you contacted jmb? Dude's a magician.....
  18. Awesome and great to have you back. You were missed..........
  19. I am still moved by this gesture and speechless by the results. It will hold a very special in my heart and I will take great pride in sharing this story with all I meet.
  20. Yep, big holes and missing bezel ring. The man is awesome. Can't wait to get it and beat the snot out of it......
  21. Thanks Friend. Very nice to hear and to help.
