  1. C'mon, Mine or Pug's? You have to pick......Please.
  2. I think if you put a little of the metal back on the left........kidding, I'm kidding. Can you say perfection? I can.....................PERFECTION! Bravo! Remember, even new from Rolex most watches ain't perfect. And a watch as old as this one represents certainly won't be. You would have to really try to find fault with the work you have done..........I gotta admit, sniff, it brings a tear to my eye......no, wait....that's just the smoke from my Cuban friend Mr. Ramon (shown earlier in my post that you had to upstage with the so called "Sub") Anyway, I was glad to add what little help I could to see such a nice result. Rare air Mr. Pug....Rare air indeed. This message brought to you by and paid for by Mr. Pugwash
  3. Show off...A day laye for me to be green with envy
  4. Talk about timing......about to undertake some lume work myself. May I ask where to get this? Frei & Borel seem to only have the A*F brand of Lume. Thanks in advance, Kurt.
  5. Thanks and I see your point. In person, the gaps look spot on and with my calipers, they are pretty close to the Gen I used as a reference. I think the macro and angle of the pics. distorts thhings a bit. Kurt.
  6. I personally love it. Give us a break - down of parts and thoughts. Nice, Kurt.
  7. Nope. the dial is perfect. it's the distortion due to the angle and the sick dome crystal>
  8. Ity's the Clark. I think the thinner bezel of the 1680 gives it a look of the Gen T-39.
  9. Thanks, I do all my own stunts...err....Mods....but look again.....this ain't your father's 1655,,,,it's a 1680 with the Dweller look.
  10. Do you like? Just in Thanks Woody! Mods done: New Clark Superdome tropic 39, Lugs drilled and Gen. Sprinbars installed. Coming up: Gen. Crown and Tube (Hurry up Pug ), Crown gaurd perfecting, Date wheel replacement (Where the hell are the 5 I ordered ), hopefully a Gen bracelet and Insert and a Slow beat movement. Stay tuned.
  11. Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhh....dammit now cut that out.
  12. Here are a couple of really bad shots of 3 Rolexes. After 30 secs exposure to a 60 watt bulb. Can you tell the models and wether they are Genuine or not? Maybe a prize for the correct guesser.........
  13. Thanks Jack. And like you, perfect isn't what I'm after, I just have watches I like. Kurt.
  14. LOL! Thanks for the well wishes. Everything has worked out perfectly
  15. Thank you. I took alot off from the case sides near the crown to slim and make them a bit pointier. Damn Pug, I love that watch!
  16. I believe it is original to the watch.....however, I am not the first owner. I could be wrong........maybe
  17. Awesome feedback advice and pictures....Thanks. Regards, Kurt.
  18. Yeah, but your's really sucked.....kidding, I'm kidding. By the way, send the package when you get it and I need a price to paypal you Any parts/tools yet? Kurt.
  19. Ken, Thanks for the comments. I only ask because I wouldn't mind offering this service to those who don't want to toil with them. Hell for good friends, I'd almost do it for free....almost. Anyway, thanks again, Kurt.
  20. I really am curious as to why the majority of my posts go without comment. I cannot learn or improve without feedback. I am a big boy and really can't be insulted. Please, someone say the watches look like crap, the crown gaurds suck....they are perfect, close still need work. Something....anything. Thanks....I think
  21. Nope. The first shot is of the Genuine 14060M that just got here. And the other is my rep 5513 showing my crown Gaurd work for comparison. Kurt.
  22. Recall and visit the previous post: http://www.rwg.cc/members/So-getting-a-rep...ell-t22524.html outlining the condition of the first Genuine Sub my dealer sent me on Thursday/Friday..... Now, this just in.........F Serial 14060M from Sep. 2003..... Good look for crown gaurd modders: My work... Sub Porn....
  23. My "find" to elaborate is the edge of the winding rotor plate is chewed up. Grinding was caused by the shavings in the winding train. The movement did not look like this from the factory. After closer inspection of the watch, a ding to the bezel led me to believe this watch to a pretty good knock at some point. I believe the rotor bearing was damaged causing the winding rotor to griand against the plates as evidenced in the picture. Ugly Huh?
