  2. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=200038394587 look at the other Rolex/Tudor items for sale...
  3. well it is definately stamped ETA and 7750
  4. Thanks so much for all the info guys.. appreciate it. I got the caseback off (well my watchmaker/repairer did with a press thing of some sort) and to my excitement the movement was as expected. ETA 7750 with the running seconds at 9:00 as it is a pre 2000. I know the subdials are spaced really far apart so what now would this movement be good for???
  5. Thanks for all the info guys.. I tried the duct tape on the caseback then the bergeon tool today as well to no avail.. I dont get it. it seems that the for some reason the chucks just wont fit. the 29.5mm chuck is too big.. weird seeing as how I have 2 rolex reps /1 genuine rolex that opens fine. and the 28.3mm chuck just doesnt fit correctly.hmmmmmmmm
  6. I cannot for the life of me get the caseback off of a daytona I was given to strip the eta movement out of it. Bergeon tool not working, dont want to strip anything but it appears the die I use on other rolex casebacks doesnt fit(a tad too small, it doesnt lock with the teeth, just spins).. This watch did sit in a drawer for a few years so I bet it is stiff as hell.... tried rubber gloves/ducttape...wont budge.. other then take it to my jeweler, anyone have any sugestions? Thx
  7. Oris TT1 Der Meistertaucher for me today!!
  8. Arent ETA 2892-2 as he describes in his Subs actually only 21 Jewel? Valjoux/ETA 7750/51 are only 17 Jewel as far as I know, unless it changed
  9. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A%3AIT&rd=1 \ what a joke. I actually email the seller asking why a 16233 (DJ TT) decal was on the back of a daytona.. His/her reply??? "The 16233 is a daytona reference, you must not know much about the daytona cosmograph" Wow I sure was told.. LOL
  10. Thanks for the write up, not sure if this will interest you or not but I have had this bookmarked for sometime now. http://fejack.net/misc/gmt24/gmt24.htm
  11. Sorry bro ( if I can call you that) $3000 on the TAG, I still have it along with the receipt. If it was an error then it was an error. Im looking at it right now.
  12. John Bull on Bay Street is the place to deal. (They wont deal as much at paradise island.) I was there in December 2005 and purchased a gen PAM183H for $2600 cash with boxes/papers etc. Listed tag was $3000. I was also offered a nice 16613 listed for $6500 for $1800 with my 16710 as on the spot trade.. Didnt do that thou as I love my gen 16710. There are reps to be found in the market by Senor Frog's (restaurant) but they are all terrible and cheap. have fun and happy shopping....

  14. Thanks for the info, are they usually that off? Is it easy to drill out a SEL case? just widen the holes right?
  15. does anyone know where to find one? 18K triple wrap or even 14K to 18K would do if the price is right. My question is would most aftermarket or even a genuine (not that Id spend the $$ on it) TT bracelet fit our beloved SEL 16613's?? any help is appreciated.
  16. Fixed on Friday evening. GS hypo cement did the trick and it looks great again
  17. Thats great. so no problem with the bezel alignment? I can stick it on anyway then? that is the only thing left to address. Thanks so much for the help.
  18. Thanks so much for the info/tips. Im quite sure I can glue it back on with the bezel still attached to the case.. I dont have white spirit / would rubbing alcohol work? I have the glue so no worries there. Does it matter how I reglue the bezel as long as it fits in properly? no issue with realignment or anything?
  19. Well Im a newbie to this forum (post on TRC) so be gentle with me please I guess the glue didnt stick too well on my EL TT sub. good thing I have a bezel protector or it might have fell off and got lost. I have the hypocement to stick it back on, and the tools.. I just have a few questions to ask. 1. should I try to remove the TT bezel or not? I have read it can be done with the bezel on the watch so what is best? I dont want to mark up the TT bezel... 2. I have to remove the old glue from the insert and bezel, what is the best way to do it --hairdryer?? 3. does the bzel insert have to be aligned in any way like a gen would? I have never turned the bezel at all so can I just glue it back in and adjust the bezel after by rotating it to have pearl @ 12? Any help or assistance is truely appreciated. Thanks
