I flirted with the idea of WM9. Alot of people were saying they were modified TW BEST.

The platinum bezel reproduction will always look like [censored].

If the entire watch is supposed to be platinum it does not look so bad but when the case and bracelet are SS and the bezel is supposed to be platinum.....well it looks like [censored].

This is just a very tough watch to get right.

........and BTW, look at all the rep bags, etc. that EVERYBODY buys. Hasn't put a crimp in that business either.

On that tangent. Almost the entire rwg,rwi,and trc community is male. Why don't our dealers sell wallets for men? We need to score a gift for the womyn in our lives from time to time but we need more than watches straps, and pens in our modern lives!

Ultimate (the new CN sub?):

Cons:

The dial on the LV isn't as good as the old CN sub (bold m, swiss made over 3 ticks, fat marker surrounds).

The bracelet on the one i had was very sharp on the edges

the crown is a little too fat

The dial problems were on the first batch of ultimates. I just recieved my Ultimate LV from PT it has an uprgraded dial with not bold "m" and correct second markers.

The bracelet is not perfect but not sharp. I think a simple polish will do no crock sticks or files necessary.

BTW: He still has pictures of his old ULT up with the old dial errors. I suggested he should take new picks. Oh well......

I also got a response from Ken.

He even mentioned pre-orders, I just asked him about some details so we will see.

Maybe they are working on a chrono version? It would be even cooler!

Is this a Daytona @6 type model where they will build an extra bridge for RO?

Well I was starting to warm to the Senna.

Cool limited edition watch that I could take off at an AD,place on the jewlers matt , and try on other watches without worrying that the salesperson would pick up and identify as a Rep.

Does anybody know if the casebacks are accurate on the 2004 Senna?

The gen is supposed to have a special caseback while the rep has the standard caseback. Is that correct?

Nope, I have an Oris XXL Day-Pointer for that. Looks great with my Armani suit. No Armani "suits" yet but working on it.

I have a Seiko Monster and I have just purchased an Ult Sub LV from PT.

Those are the only watches I own that are under 44mm.

I don't even consider buying 36mm watches, not even Rolex.

Bingo, nice thick coat of clear nail polish does the trick in every case I have heard including mine.

Yes, 316L SS has nickel in it.

so then that means that the wm9 models are the same tw models that can be obtained through our channels for a few dollars less, right?

Well. WM9 offers a few more TW Best models than are offered here like the LV.

I guess he changes the bezel and dial from a stock TW Best?

He also claims to waterproof the watches to 200M, I know that is iffy but can't prove he doesn't.

Finally,he offers a 12 month warranty.

Then again he does not offer the TW Best Classic.

He does say his watches are 144 grams which is heavier that gen so maybe he usese the solid mid link bracelet from the TW Best Classic?
