For any mechanical watch, a service call every 5 years should keep you in good health. Oil inside the watch evaporates to gum over time, whether you use the watch or not. A service cleans out the oil gum and adds fresh oil.
Unsanitary conditions in the China factories almost guarantees your watch movement will be dirty upon arrival. If you really love the watch after you have lived with it for a month or two, go ahead and get it serviced.
I have to agree .. since the big dealers are all over YouTube and Facebook ... what is the huge problem? Did you folks not notice all the PureTime and Perfect Clones videos and Facebook stuff for 2 months or more, now??
Carl, that is not my experience at all .. if a watch is running +20 seconds a day, every day then it is actually very accurate but needs to be regulated.
Wait until you realize that forum dealer "Bergie's" is a soft-goods merchant, with the most amazing AAA quality designer bags and accessories for the best prices you will find. Both my wife and my daughter have Hermes bags now, and they are truly perfect. Internet rip-off sites want $650+ each for these, but Bergie does not even charge half that.
You mean the guy who's been here roughly the same length of time as you, but has helped literally hundreds of people, whereas you have not? The guy who supports this Forum with both donations and a membership subscription, while you do not?
hmm ... let me try and summarize how it feels.
Oh, wait ... you're not worth the keystrokes. Good day to you.
That is what I am thinking. Certainly, the French government wants to bow down to powerful business interests, and stop counterfeit goods but who is paying for all that enforcement. Where does the money come from to stop these goods.
The money is not available to do this every day.
HI Justin .. just look at your balance cock jewel housing. See how it only has 1 notch for releasing the shock spring? It needs 3. Also .. notice how the reversing wheel is almost entirely hidden by the winding plate. You need to be able to see 2 holes at a time for it to be real swiss.
if these photos are correct, then they have fixed the "tells" for a clone movement .. not enough holes in the reversing wheels, not enough release notches in the balance wheel jewel housing, and incorrectly shaped shock spring.
MAYBE the holes in the reversing wheels look a bit big to me, but that could be my imagination.
I cant tell.
