  1. Im curious about why you paid $400 for a DSSD was it made of gold?
  2. Something about the dome drives me wild
  3. Good luck w/ your house hunt, B-T DSSD v5(2009) for me today
  4. You could email or PM member Jos Nana .. it's his store.
  5. The only dealer here who I know %100 carries only top grade stuff is Bergie. I know WatchEden has a softgoods area but really ... it may be a false impression but I always think of W.E as lower-end.
  6. Look at Perfect Clones web pages. I know he has pens, but I am not an MB expert. Perfect Clones PENS is at the bottom left corner of main page
  7. Some merchants here don't have web sites. You just PM or email the merchant with your request and they get back to you as soon as they can with the reply
  8. There's a Forum here on RWG for "reviews of other dealers" .. and you should post there as well. It's a place for reviews of trusted dealers on other forums (RWI in this case) I've been looking at the Noobfactory super sale, as well.
  9. Swiss People - I was being just a little humorous, and do not really believe that you all walk around with weapons. I do know that the Swiss business men I deal with here in the US all must qualify annually on the firing range, by law. There's an agreement for them to use time at a military base's firing range near here for that purpose.
  10. I remember seeing one Member had a black (hornback??) strap with red stitching to match the little plane on the chrono seconds hand. It was very sharp indeed. edit: I found the thread and the photos. I love this strap on the TG .. it suits the watch - clicky click click
  11. Sporting the B&R 02 on rubber currently .. maybe I'll switch to the 1680 later.
  12. Dangerous9 has a texture that he creates by hand which he calls "stoneground" .. that's what I was referring to. This white dial on SS body would also look great on black with white stitches. And yeah that Ostrich leather strap is the type of dark red I was thinking of .. not so much a pure red but a brown.black.red mix.
  13. I would have used a darker red. Camel straps are not my taste, and I have never cared for the electric blue stitch on any watch. Dark red and a black stitch with perhaps some of D9's "stoneground" texturing. I only say something negative because you are asking for honest opinions, not a hugfest. here is a hug in case you are sad now.
  14. More than one merchant here offers replica soft goods but Bergie's has the best, it seems. I know a couple of the "Watch" merchants have handbag sub-sections if you insist on looking elsewhere
  15. If it's an Asian 21j type movement in that 42mm PO, then you are going to find out that the resident modders and watch mechanics don't work on them. You will have to toss the movement and insert a new one. The good news is that you're looking at about $30 for a new asian movement.
  16. Ziggy mentioned in another thread recently, that the common 2813/4813 A21j is based on Miyota movments, like the Clone ETAs are based on 2824, etc ... So if you wanted to replace the POrikaa's engine with something more reliable, you'd go with the actual Japanese Miyota equivalent it mimics.

At least you are not in Turkmenistan!
  18. I understand that some countries have a very proactive anti-gun sentiment, and that's fine. I would like to point out, however, that saying the US is chock full of evil guns is a bit prejudiced, when as someone has already stated, it is the legal responsibility of all able men in Switzerland to have a fully automatic machine gun in their home. Please leave the US alone, when everyone in Switzerland is armed to the teeth. like Rambo. That is all.
  19. Looking at the watch, it seems to be a Cartel standard Ultimate v3 with Josh-supplied corrective bezel insert. That's a nice dial on it, tho .. the hour markers don't appear to be too fat at all. The pearl bothers me, since Cartel DSSDs have rounded pearls, but this one is flat. The fact that it's a replacement insert might explain that tho. I'm going to go with NoobFactory Ultimate v3, with corrective bezel insert.
  20. It certainly looks very close but the picture in WE's catalog shows terrible SELs .. they look almost squished .. and a gap between the insert and the bezel. You can see the glue down in there, the gap is so large. I can't know if this is just a very bad example of a Trevor-type (2010 v5) watch or just a bad version of a DSSD rep.
  21. Any progress on this? I'd love to know which dealer has lumed Crazy Dial reps.
  22. It's a Miyota quartz powered rep, a couple of years old now. The site I got it from is long gone, as it was my first rep and way before I found the Community and trustworthy dealers.
  23. I have an older quartz 01-94 with the "real" screws on the back. They are for releasing the straps and lugs completely so you can sit the watch on your desk. The 4 screws on the face are for opening the case.
