  1. OK ... hehe yes you are correct, and this is confusing, I know. Eurotimez was the original dealer to sell the real v5 DeepSea The Cartel dealers carried the v1, v2, v3 and finally the v3 ultimate DeepSea ... When Eurotimez went out of business, the Cartel dealers changed the name of their v3 ultimate to v5 ultimate without any changes to the actual watch. It's just a marketing scheme. Rename the watch so that it now sounds like BOTH of the 2 most popular DeepSea versions. Sell more watches! Yaaay! Within the last few months, Trevor and a couple other dealers have found the old Eurotimez source for the real v5 watch and are selling it, once again. We call it the v5 2010, because it has a few improvements over the v5 which was sold in 2009. The cartel v3 Ultimate/v5 Ultimate and BK's Deepseas are all Noobfactory. The Trevor v5 2010 is the real/original v5 watch and it's factory is not revealed. It used to just be named after it's original dealer, the Eurotimez v5.
  2. The photos you posted are a comparison between the v5 2009 and the v5 2010 models. Is that what you intended? BK carries the Noobfactory DSSD, and Trevor sources the v5 2010 model. In case anyone is still reading, the cartel v3/v5 Ultimate is also the Noobfactory watch.
  3. There is definite information that a v5 42mm PO is in the pipeline, and that it accepts gen parts. So there's hope for your franken dreams.
  4. now that it's known who the culprit is, I can't believe someone who's been here a long time could be brainless enough to think they would not get caught by the members here who troll eBay daily for watches and parts. BOGGLE
  5. This puzzles me since anyone who's been on the forum for more than 2 weeks knows that the regulars here troll ebay every day looking for watches and parts. Reselling an RWG watch as Gen on ebay is a sure way to be called out by the people here. It doesnt make sense.
  6. Congratulations. That's a very good looking piece.
  7. I just saw a post from him within the last week saying he was back and moving at full force.
  8. Eurotimez vanished after a lot of bad deals.
  9. I had to look this one up last night! When US astronauts visited Japan, Rolex created a Japan-market-ONLY, limited edition model called the Space-Dweller. It has never actually been in space.
  10. The My Watchbox Area is full of awesome pics of member's watches. I havent seen it mentioned in a few months so all the new folks probably don't know about it. It's an awesome resource if you want to see all the hot pieces people are buying and modding.
  11. As member 1976 says .. the UN Maxi Marine Diver is awesome as well, but I didnt mention it because the list I provided seemed big enough already Here it is on SS ... note that the dial is in direct Sun, so in real life, it wont be so electric blue. It just shines in that color.
  12. I love those old-school models. No animations, no computers .. just huge parts mocked up and displayed.
  13. All replica watches have the chance to leak. Even if it is supposed to be waterproof. this is due to very bad QC .. what if there is a missing gasket? No one checks! So when you intend to use a watch on a daily basis in this kind of environment, you should have it tested by a watchmaker once a year. It's a simple test. NoobFactory makes the best Submariner under 500 .. WM9/BK have the best Submariner over 500. Remember that you don't have to go with a modern watch! If you are considering replicas, then the world of vintage timepieces is wide open to you as well. I would mention the Omega Planet Ocean in 42 or 45mm sizes .. the Breitling SuperOcean Steel Fish, and the Rolex Submariner as all strong basic watches with the right amount of flash. Also the Rolex GMT II C and the Rolex DSSD. For a little extra bling, try the Rolex Yacht Master instead of the Submariner. Also, I might add that if a watch has a movable dive timer bezel, the dial itself doesnt need to be graduated in minutes, like this DSSD.
  14. I'm glad you're OK! I think that standard watch movements are a lot more hardy than some people here say. I demolished my small horse barn a few months ago, and wore my 2836 powered DSSD the whole time I was swinging a demolition hammer .. 3 weekends in a row. Nothing bad happened at all.
  15. AFAIK he still currently sells customized Noob watches, so ...
  16. I bought a new bulk-packaged 2824 3 weeks ago for $110!
  17. This is your 3rd post? Outstanding! Very good. Thanks.
  18. Good Lord ... not to be crude but I hope you got a reach-around with that $250 service on a plain vanilla ETA. That's $100 more than the most expensive watch repair guru I know of.
