  1. I pity a person who buys this other than for either the pure enjoyment of it OR the parts value. Selling this on, later, as an investment piece will not be pretty.
  2. The new auction description now states that this is a watch "made up of various parts"
  3. The Lambo and the Ferrari are technical like a spaceship from a movie. The Alfa and the Maserati are organic, cat-like; curved like a body. SEX
  4. Congrats to you! And I really enjoyed the "family" photo at the end.
  5. Fitting under a shirt cuff is entirely dependent upon how your tailor made your cuffs! (mine asks me if I wear a big watch) You can always have the buttons moved to open up the cuff if a watch is causing a problem. Even if you don't wear tailored shirts, I'm sure your local tailor would be happy to accept your money to move the buttons on your cuffs I just tried on an off the rack dress shirt and the cuff fits over the SOSF but you have to tug it down over the watch and it looks puffy and weird. I suppose that if you take your jacket off during a meeting, you should unbutton and roll your cuff a bit to get around that?
  6. What's up with using the truck from Kill Bill?? Now I won't be able to watch that movie without thinking of this waste of skin.
  7. Someone said it first, but I agree; when something makes you think of an attribute that you, personally, find sexy then that object is sexy to you. When I lived in the country, a lot of women said pickup trucks were sexy. They did not want to rub themselves on a truck .. they wanted a man who was rugged and strong and outdoors-type. I suppose women who say sports cars are sexy could want a few things. Cheap and dirty sports cars like a Mustang prolly feels like a bad-boy ... where an Aston Martin reeks of money and power. Sexy is whatever turns you on. Thin people, fat people, strong people, needy people ... everyone has a turn-on
  8. Google "paypal browser plugin" This is a paypal application for your web browser which generates valid mastercard numbers for you on command

    My new GEN

I have to recall the television program "Absolutely Fabulous" where the nouveau-riche Mother would sport a ridiculous huge gem encrusted crucifix around her neck, and when her Daughter would make fun of it, she would point to it and loudly proclaim "ITS LACROIX DARLING .. LACROIX!!"
  10. Haier was going under ... Chinese people weren't interested in State manufactured appliances. One day, an engineer at Haier was thinking about some news he'd heard. That men were annoyed that women got to use household appliances to lessen their workload. The Chinese men often tried to use the women's appliances to lessen their own workload but when you fill a clothes washing machine full of dirty potatoes, they would always break down from the load. The Haier engineer got approval from him Government bosses to design and prototype a clothes washing machine which was durable enough to load with vegetables and wash the clods of earth and dung from them. Once Haier perfected these new machines, they sold wildly since the chinese men had reason to want them beyond their wife wanting one. This idea saved Haier from obscurity and allowed them to eventually begin marketing their appliances world wide.
  11. Paying with a CC is only "unsecure" in that someone can steal your card number and make charges on the account. I would really really really think twice before I used my BANK ACCOUNT DEBIT CARD for overseas transactions, deniz Paypal has a special option which lets you use PayPal's special Mastercard number instead of your own when you pay. That way, you're using PayPal at places which dont accept Paypal .. and the Mastercard number can't be used to make false charges
  12. Hand winding an ETA movement should be smooth as silk .. the gears are so nicely designed and finished. ETA clones are very close to the same hand feel! Asia 21j 21k (2813) movements are rough and "buzzy" to wind. I've never hand wound an Asia 21j 28k movement (4813) so I cant comment.
  13. I thought you were being clever .. aren't Invictas squeezed out in NJ ??
  14. Welcome back, bub
  15. There is a list of screened and trusted replica watch "collectors" right here on this web site. Just choose one and they can supply you with the watches you want.
  16. I think a new Swiss 7750 is 440usd
  17. While a Submariner is a classic watch, it's not dress-suit quality in my opinion. The SuperOcean Steel Fish is dressier but can be casual as well.
  18. Narikaa travels to Thailand and buys these POrikaas. I dont know of any other collector who can source them.
  19. Also a huge vote for the SuperOcean Steel Fish .. it's perfect for most occasions. I love the Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea but it's too thick to fit under shirt cuffs without a visit to your tailor! I wear a SOSF, DSSD and a 42mm Planet Ocean as my daily work watches in rotation. You might not think that a stainless steel watch could be dressy but the way the SOSF is brushed and polished in different places makes it shimmer like a jewel.
  20. Right here on this Community forum! When an important new replica is released, like a 1:1 42mm Planet Ocean, there will be a huge fuss made here.

    POrikaa

Wow you must really love your watch to pay for such an inexpensive model to be modded!! Why not purchase the UPO instead of buying the cheaper unit and paying to have it modded?
  22. One of the "Chinese New Year Surprises" was the announcement of a 1:1 42mm Planet Ocean replica, along the same quality of the 45mm UPO. It will accept genuine parts, as the UPO 45mm does. Keep your eyes open for new developments, if the 45mm is too big for you.
  23. Yes, the parts list and web page links to Cousins and Ofrei have been posted at least twice. A search should help.
