The only issue with the rolex DD/presidential is as far as I am aware it only comes in solid gold or solid platinum. If you can't pull off a $35,000 USD watch in real life, none of your wife's co-workers are going to believe it's a gen. it's just a huge flag if your GF/Wife cares about being called out.

As other people have been trying to explain, the watch shops and kiosks all keep the worst reps in their stalls. If the shops are raided, only the junk is confiscated. If you go to the GZ shops, all you will see is junk. You have to begin bargaining with a shop keeper and explaining over and over that you want the "swiss machines" ... and then maybe they will send a runner to get a good watch from their locked rooms. From the way people describe the experience, it's tedious and repetitive, and you have to have the balls to haggle in an extreme manner (get up and leave then come back etc) to get a fair price.

Chanel J12 ceramic, or Rolex Datejust with silver dial and roman numerals or perhaps glacier blue dial .... if she is afraid of the new Large Watch trend for women and needs a teeny tiny "ladies watch" If she is keen on the men's size watch for ladies trend that's popular now then the sky's the limit. Simple PAMs, SOSF Breitling in white dial .. Frank Muller rectangular watches... Cartier Pasha and Ballon Bleu models .. In my personal experience stay away from the beautiful but very poorly executed Cartier La Dona models, as the two I've seen were cheaply designed and plated brass, not SS. Asia 2813 @ 21.6k beats an hour. It's a perfectly good movement if you get a good one as always, factory QC is questionable at best. If you get a good one it will last a long time. If you get a bad one, the date wont work properly etc etc ... and yes they are cheap to replace.

Ask if you get BOTH watches shown for that single price

As Pugwash states in his amazing macro tutorials here, even pro-sumer cameras come with mediocre lenses. Your next major purchase is a good lens to go along with the good camera. For your "grainy" images, force the camera into a lower ISO I guess, and use a tripod

I suppose my confession is all about Rolex. I thought they were cliche and played out .. a poser watch. Then I read the Gioarmani review of the Eurotimez DSSDv5 .. and .. it was soooo beautiful .. next thing I know, I have one and it's at Ziggy's place being lumed and serviced.
