  1. Of course. All that needs to happen is moving the watch's rotor. Anything else is just an excuse to charge you more for no reason. A watch pulses billions and billions of times in it's life with hardly any wear. A winder salesman would have you believe that it needs to be wound randomly or ... SOMETHING TERRIBLE WILL HAPPEN. If your watch needs to be spun in a certain direction to wind, then that's one point to observe, but many movements wind in either direction.
  2. Sweet baby jeebus! Look at the orange peel on that insert! I hope they aren't all like this.
  3. It could be that the factory never put any oil in the watch, or that it needs a simple adjustment, as you suspect. Did you pay a little or a lot for this watch?
  4. I had a 10" tablet for a few years (Fujitsu) but it was stylus based. No keyboard It was freaking fantastic. I think that the iPad will be like this but 100x better.
  5. Censor out your face. Try a large black oval Oh and I almost forgot .... HOLY COW IT'S PUGWASH welcome back.
  6. Why aren't you folks using OpenOffice from Sun Microsystems? It's free, and is compatible with Office. When Microsoft ripped off the Java language from Sun, Sun made a duplicate clone of Office .. it's called OpenOffice and it's free. Try it. It's been around for over 10 years. Sun's OpenOffice The only thing it won't duplicate is Office "Publisher" which no one in the industry uses anyway .. only Primary school teachers heheh.
  7. An artisan rep maker, only interested in perfection. It takes a year+ to bring one of his watches to market, and people who pre-order the watches always complain and go insane while waiting.
  8. Speaking of WM9 .... his site is back up but it's all nutty .... his "prices" are stated as Rolex list prices, not his rep prices, and the site says something about servicing ... no allusions at all to rep watches.
  9. 1- Fake screws on the back of the watch. 2- Quartz!? 3- The watchband pins falling out is a CLASSIC flaw in the rep, and this watch is missing one band pin.
  10. WOW I had no idea that Jason Stratham was sooo short!! Sly Stallone is a small man and Jason's smaller than HIM in those pics??
  11. If the watch has as loud rattle and it's stopped working, I'd bet you a dollah that the winding rotor has come off in transit. It happens all the time; it's just held on by a tiny screw. If that's the case then it's incredibly easy to fix. Just my opinion from afar, tho. As for seeking out another dealer due to the dial issue ... most dealers drop ship (ie never even see your watch since it comes right from the factory to you, with the dealer simply playing order-taker) , and would not know if the watch you receive had a live badger duct taped to the face.
  12. Every rep I've ever bought has the dial 1/2 second off in either direction. (and the click bezel 1/2 second off in the OTHER direction LOLOL) You need to learn what this hobby is about before making such statements. It's important for newcomers to realize that replicas are by their nature imperfect .. or we will end up with forums full of people shouting about their new toy's tiny flaws and who the hell wants to read that all day? You are buying a counterfeit watch assembled by someone who doesn't care. Eurotimez specifies exactly their QC procedure and if you READ IT you will see that it does not include rotating watch dials 1/2 second to make it perfect. If you want service like that, buy a $700 Yachtmaster from BK.
  13. Ohhh I had no idea Fijiman - You misunderstand. He does not mean that most reps come with low beat movements. He means that most watches that advertise 21j workings will arrive at your door with the "21j DG2813 21.6K" movement, and not it's more expensive high beat brother, the "21j DG4813 28.8K"
  14. The holes in the band are not always cleanly drilled on the UPO, I've noticed. Even tho the pin is supposed to be held by that roll pin friction tube in the center link, the holes are sometimes friction-fit as well! It's a lot of trial and error.
  15. Hold the end of the pin in a small bench vice and grasp the watch band in both hands. Then gently pull on the band .. firmly .. and POP out it comes. I resized two UPOs last night with a normal screw-type pin pusher and a bench vice. Still not easy but at least smooth and successful.
  16. Asia 21j is a low-beat movement. It's a solid workhorse, but not a silk-smooth sweeper. PLEASE NOTE: Not all $5000 gens use 28.8k movements either, so a low-beat might just be CLOSER to the gen than a smooth 28.8k replica watch.
  17. You can tell a fake tourby easily .. a rep tourbillon is really just an "open heart" design, which just means the balance wheel is seen thru the dial. There's no tourbillon cage, no multi-axis rotational movement .. just a normal watch balance spinning in place.
  18. A ladies nail file (emery board) carefully applied to the edges of the band will take those sharp edges off. Work slowly and don't use too-aggressive a grit. Some forum members use a toothpick wrapped in fine sandpaper, as well.

    Ultimate DSSD

After I had my v5 serviced and was sure it was water-tight, I started showering with it in the mornings and that seems to take off the oils that dull the surface of the metal. The watch is MUCH brighter after it's been washed. Your watch looks like it's absolutely covered in machine oil from being made. It's un-even looking and blotchy. After you're certain it's water-proof go ahead and wash it nicely.
  20. I don't know the tells for a SteelFish .. sorry!
  21. Zig can and has lumed the Slevin to perfection if that's what you want. Alllll the little numbers ... so much work! But he does it.
  22. That part is called the Diver's Extension .. you unfold that bit in order to quickly wear it over a diver's wetsuit. Most people with a DSSD can't get that part OPEN, it's so tight ... I know I cant get mine to open. A daub of epoxy is probably your best option here, until you replace it.
