Just a thought, but if you use the crown as a depth guide when you seat the tube, what happens when the crown gasket starts to age and compress .. haven't you taken away the ability to screw down the crown further, compensating for the flattening gasket?
Lume can be almost any daylight color. Even black. And yes it glows even when its black.
Look at a Franck Muller Color Dreams for example.It you drip a bit of tea stain on white lume, that will not prevent it from glowing it's normal night-time color.
So at some point, an owner tried a do-it-yourself bezel re-brush and slapped some Testors model paint/enamel into the numbers instead of paying the RSC ...
From the exact packaging to the genuine serial numbers to the feel of these, I suspect that the factory is running more than required and selling them out the back door for 1/4 price. That's Chinese business.
My older UPO with clone ETA does this and there's no question about It. The date currently changes at 5:20, and it is always different altho it does not change quickly .. that is to say, I've had over two years now and it's moved from 12:00 to 5:20 over those years.
