  3. I have been modding my cg and the screws or screw holes have got stripped. Absolutly gutted. What is my best plan of action to sort this. Tia
  4. Cheers Pete. I will try to post pics later.
  5. Morning all. a little advice would be gratefully received by some of you in the know. I am totally new to PAM and recently picked up a modded 088. My question is regarding the CG. the lever is stiff and doesnt close totally flush. (.5mm) To me it seems that the screw isnt tin far enough and the head it stopping the lever sitting flush. It there a way to get shorter screws or can i cut/file the screw ive got down. Also what would be the best aftermarket cg to go for for this model. Finall any advice on making the lever less stiff. Thanks All UNK
  6. Hey mike how did you remove the lever. \i couldnt find a key to fit it?
  7. My advice would be to 1. get some dental floss or ribbon as you would use when wrapping a gift. 2. Slice the ribbon really thin so its the thickness of fuse wire 3. Work this upto the pivot hinge of the lever (its tricky but pliers and patience and a fair length of ribbin will work) 4. Once in position twist as you would when sealing a sandwich bag so the ribbon gets really tight under the lever (lever should not be wobbly now) 5. Trim away excess using a craft knife (carefully) 7. Roberts your mothers brother Worked for me like a charm.
  8. Did you happen to get an address
  9. What gets me is that he lurked around and acts like a interested party. Gets involved and talks about builds etc. I really don't know how you would spot someone like this. Post count and posts are similar to me. Any French members had any dealings with him or anyone sold him anything.
  10. He got me for the upo aswell.
  11. Seems he is a scammer - Done a few guys over on RG. Any news on who he is or where he is would be well received. Havn't mentioned his name so far but in the interests of other i think i should. Mods delete if necessary. BrianSW510 Any help???
  12. Still not arrived and no comms. I have purchased a few watches off here and also sold a few with no real issues. This was my first big money purchase and i now have that sinking feeling. My pal Sixx is going through the same thing with the same seller. Karma is a [censored] people. Treat people how you would like to be treated is my motto and i wish/hope this is the same for most. The OP seemed genuine but the lack of comms are killing me. One more day and a PP dispute is started. Point of this rant is this: I thought (think) i am shrewd. Did basic checks, read older posts by seller, messaged him before purchase, checked for insurance etc and i still have been done (maybe).
  13. Cheers TeeJay. Thats what i have already done. Hopefully its just a snag with the delivery.
  14. Hi All Looking for a bit of advice really. I recently purchased a franken UPO. The seller is based in France and I am in the UK. Comms have been good but the tracking number doesnt work on the colissimo website. My question is this, how long should i wait for the watch to arrive before getting worried and if the watch is indeed lost should the seller refund me and claim it back his end or will i have to wait for the claim to be complete to recieve my money back. There isnt any customs between France and the UK. It has been 7 days since purchase. How long should something take to arrive from France? I sent something to Germany last Thursday and it has already got there Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers UNK
  15. Thanks for the advice. In general are the reps water tight. Or is it something which has to be done after purchase. Also i am mainly interested in purchasing the finished article. Im beginning to think i need to rethink my budget,
  16. What were the problems with it. What are the tells etc.
  17. After i said all that i really like this (on a vintage strap ) pic credit to rg member jac259
  18. Thanks for the replys. I am more bothered at the movement being solid as apposed to it being swiss. I guess i am a little wary of asian movements that may be suspect, especially as i am willing to spend a few quid i don't fancy it breaking down. Regarding a second hand i like the look but its not imperative. The case back is a combination of a few things. I am aware that the Paneristi can spot a fake no matter what its like and everyone else (non watch people and to be fair people like me who are switched on to the world of reps) couldnt tell a mediocre copy and good copy apart anyway (within reason). Some of the pieces on the sales forum vary a lot in price but seem to be quite similar in looks. In short what i really want is quality and good looks(don't we all). Some of the pieces ive seem look as good as gens to me and some look a little to be desired IMO. Thanks UNK
  19. Hi All I am looking for any professional (or not so professional) advice regarding getting my first PAM rep. I really want to spend no ore than about
