  1. I am just looking at it from the perspective of he buyer. I would want somebody to alert me of the potential risks. It had nothing to do with the lack of box and papers. Buying boxes and papers to pass the fakes is easier than modding the watch...I just thought the buyer should have the watch checked at a Watch shop prior to buying the watch... Just my $.02
  2. That is a good ending! Just sad that it took soo long to come around.
  3. Your pics never fail to impress!
  4. I see the serial now, I thought that was just a reflection before...but thinking about serials, don't gray market omegas come with the serial number polished off?
  5. I didn't notice the serial numbers on the lug, I looked for them but didn't see them and that's what alerted me to it. . Once a franken has gen dial, bezel, eta date wheels, gen stem and crown, gen bracelet and chiefs ar or gen crystal I am not sure other than the lack of serial on the lugs and looking at the movement that one could tell if it's a fake or not.
  6. How can you tell? I know that the Franken that I built has so many gen parts it's nearly impossible to tell it from the genuine article....
  7. Hey guys i was just at WUS and saw this thread [link]http://www.redirect.am/?http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=397753[/link] this c old easily be a franken 4th Gen PO but I am not sure what the RWG policy is on alerting folks to the potential of a fake being passed on as the real deal. What do you guys think? I would say that the only for sure way to authenticate a PO is to open it up and look at the movement...should I speak up? DB2
  8. On the wrist today But I should be getting something very nice from the UPS man shortly

  11. Hey Guys - My Gen. Rolex 1675 GMT (1966) needs a new bracelet, the stretch is getting kinda bad. I need to hunt down either a replacement Gen. or a decent rep bracelet. I am not even sure if anybody makes a rep bracelet for it, but if they do I am fine with that for now. Any help would be appreciated! Sorry I haven't been active for a while, works been BUSY! Hope everybody's doing well! Thanks! DB2
  12. Great guy to work with. Even worked with me through non-standard payment methods! Highly recommend!

  13. Hi Philosopher, no, the 18-200 is not a constant aperture...that would be a little bit out of budget..as are your three lenses...You've got quite a collection of glass...I just ordered some close-up filters for my 18-200 so I can try to get some macros out of my lens...we'll have to see though....they get mixed reviews
  14. Well today is my birthday - Happy Birthday to Me - and my awesome family bought me a new lens for my D60: It's a Nikkor 18-200 VR II (2nd Gen 18-200 Lens and 2nd Gen VR)...and it is cool! (Sidenote - there is no good way to take pictures of your good camera - hence the iphone picture) It's kinda heavy - but now I can get rid of my 2 other lenses 18-55 VR and 55-200 VR and carry just this lens and my prime lens in my bag, and only this lens on a regular basis! I am very excited! And here is a gratuitous Speedy picture: The white balance is kinda off, but oh well...it's still pretty good...now to find a good/cheap macro lens
  15. Hey Silver - Go to USPS.com and at the top is a link to Calculate Postage...that's what I always use... Db2

  18. Thanks Gio! My wife has a tradition of listening to Amy Grant's and Celine Dion's Christmas CD's and they drive me nuts - nuts isn't the right word...mentally ill, mentally disordered, of unsound mind, certifiable; psychotic, schizophrenic; mad, deranged, demented, out of my mind, non compos mentis, unhinged, unbalanced, unstable, disturbed, crazed; informal crazy, (stark) raving mad, not all there, bushed, bonkers, cracked, psycho, batty, cuckoo, loony, loopy, loco, nuts, screwy, bananas, crackers, wacko, off one's rocker, out of one's tree, around the bend, mad as a hatter, buggy! This is a great substitute! Merry Christmas - and yes my tree and lights are up
