One thing is for sure, I know my MBW vintage watches, heck i have had a few, and modded more, and that has never ever even remotely ever been an MBW, heck it's prolly never met an MBW nevermind been one. Any "servicing" offers from dealers, are to be taken with a pinch of salt. The dealers in question don't even get the watches in hand before they are shipped to you, so how exactly are they ensuring servicing? How can a dropshipper oversee servicing? They Can't, and anyone who believes this is actually happening, needs to be educated as to the truth. Sorry, but this is true, plain and simple, they will either plain lie to you, "yeh it's fully serviced yada yada" or best case, they think it's getting serviced, costing them less than $10 and in fact the guy who is doing it, who is in another country, is actually not bothering, and just creaming the cash. either way you are getting screwed. Save the $120 or $200 or whatever, take it as it is, if something happens to it, or you really want it serviced, send it to someone who is tried and tested in that area, and not someone who is trying to cream as much money off you as humanly possible. especially when that person has NO contact with your actual watch. Avoid this crap like the plague! Waste of time and money, you'll pay whatever to get it done by them, and then the same again to get it done by someone who actually knows what they are doing.

I too want to call for some calm in this matter. it is finished, I have left and Klink is gone from the staff. i am sad that there was name calling and suchlike involved, and that it got messy. Tim has been fed a lot of bullsh*t by Klink, and it must be very tough for him. I understand that he has to way up the pro's and con's and am glad that he has taken action. I have never done anything, nor will i ever do anything to the detriment of this community, I actually fight to try and make it closer, not tear it apart. I have been the biggest advocate of a united community, as if we stand together we are harder to tak apart. I hope that my leaving has brought some good to this community, though it is a regreatable action, it is a required one. I helped in the building of RWI, and am proud to see it move on, I hope all of the satff and members will continue in the tradition that we meant for the board, and that with the removal of Klink, the board gets back to the way it was. If PW is reinstated then it truly is a good day for the community as he has been avalued and respected member of this community and I have never been happy with the way he was treated. I would recommend OScommerce, ZenCart or CubeCart, all are excellent, and are easily integrateable into your web hosting etc. They allow for almost complete redesign of the entire package, and most have a support forum which allows for easy redevlopment and support. Many containing vast numbers of advanced and experienced users. PM for YOU!. Fair, and what inevitably i was looking for. Can't say much else. As long as my main concern is addressed I am appeased. That was that the control of all sales to fall under the remit of the board staff where they could be scritinised and moderated. Finally some closure on the matter. i appreciate the staff taking the time to consider this and i for one am more than satisfied with the outcome. I know that some may be disappointed but the main issue has been covered and at the end of the day as long as we can prevent this from happening again, and try to protect the future of the community that is the main thing. I for one stand fully behind the staff on this matter. Thanks Guys!

Agreed, the main crux of what need be done is to bring the dealing back within the confines of the board, where the MODERATORS and ADMIN can be allowed to do their job, not on a third party site where people can list and say whatever they please without repercussion, or the ability to assert control.

With regard how big a portion of their business we are: First of the counter that was alluded to is a VIEW counter so if I look at a page and it doesn't load properly, I refresh it = 2 views, every time I look at a new page = 1 view, every time I look at an image = 1 view, you see where I am going with this.....? The number of views a single "Hit" makes can be in the hundreds, easily, just have a look at the Pam section and check out the pics and you would easily rattle up views in no time, so that is irrelevant. I have stated this before: Check out where these guys are on google, Alexia, Altavista, Yahoo etc etc.....NOWHERE....so they aren't getting internet sales from outside this forum. Look at ioffer and you tell me if you see Andy or Josh's watermarked pics anywhere??? NOONE can arbitrarily change their URL without heavy consequences if they do a lot of online business, they can because all they have to do is tell us I have it on good authority how many wathes these guys are selling every week, and trust me it is a lot less than you think, and almost all sales are coming from the fora, if not ALL. It's simple, without us they wouldn't survive, they don't have a shop, they don't have any other sales venues, they have a guy who packs and sends out watches for them when WE buy them Simple, so no more of this crap about having 1000's of hits a day and all that pish, if they did they would be proudly sitting on page one of the a google search page based on traffic stats, they aren't they are on page....who knows what cos I can't count that high. No I meant that we should not allow it to getto the stage where we have BAD dealers, we could have a dealer section in which we can discuss the merits of each individual complaint etc. Known as the "Dealer Scam" section however if we truly get to the stage where we continue to have BAD dealers and openly admit it with 2 sub-sections splitting dealers then I will be an ex-member. I agree, and the more constructive input we can get the better, the final decision will of course be down to Admin and the team as well as the teams at RWI and TRC, however if we can help by giving our sugestions then surely that is positive, as we collectively have many minds (well we should lol) and together we will come up with a plethora of alternatives, of which the powers that be can determine the best course of action.

I'm sorry but THAT is the most ignorant thing I have heard in a LONG time. It is FACT that Andrew and Josh are now in COMPLETE cooperation, and have COMPLETELY merged to offer watches, this has been confirmed by MANY sources including MULTIPLE dealers. it is in fact Josh who instigated this to try and corner the market, and in an attempt to push the smaller dealers out, he spoke to Andy and convinced him that merging was a good way to make more $$$. I am not going to argue this point anymore we have the evidence and more substantial evidence is also known, you have chosen to interpret it in the way you have, that is your free choice as a free human being........ I am not going to be drawn into a redundant argument over this and certainly am trying hard to to verbally assault this, however I will say that it always amazes me how some people rationalise some issues.
