Hi RWG ;-)
I don't know, somehow I just lost interest... still lurking here from time to time though. And I still have a couple of reps I am wearing regularly.
Cheers

Noob GMT II today. A real classic! :-)

A gen GMT Master II and a gen Breitling Navitimer.
Damn, I really shouldn't have sold them... :-(
As for reps... yes, the 1680 build by fxrAndy. That one was really nice!
Ah well...

Very nice collection! 1939/1940... wow!
Balvenie Double Wood for me today. Love it!
-
That helps, thanks. Now I can see the differences.
Still - in person and without a loupe I wouldn't be able to tell. Maybe my eyes are bad indeed...

First of all: Thanks. And yes, I'm pretty sure it's a rep too.
But sloppy lume? No, that might just be the photo angle. The ft is wrong and the 6 and 9 markers are to thick? Hmm... really? The gens I see in photos look pretty much the same to me... well, probably slightly too thick on the markers...
It's supposed to be a 16610LV (with black insert) btw.

Yesss Varenna from Castello di Vezio
Argh... bad timing to post my picture, you still have the beauty of the landscapes very clear in mind
Very nice place where to spend 3-4 days, I have to say I was a little bored at the end.
I am not a big fan of trekking, I like better the seaside beaches in South Italy (cheaper, finer food...by the way) but Como lake is wonderful.
Oh, we found a couple of wonderful restaurants there. But I agree, 3-4 days is enough. There's a lot more to do and see around Lake Garda. Especially the villages are a lot nicer there - Malcesine, Torri del Benaco, Garda... very nice places.

Haha...
OK, I was there as well a couple of weeks ago. The ferry was a giveaway. ;-)

Hmmm... difficult. Could be one of the lakes in northern Italy though... Lake Como?

That looks amazing!
How does that Caja China work - the coal sits on top?

I think that's a very clever one, I think you're in German-speaking Italy. Merano (Meran) in the South Tyrol, next to the cathedral.
Correct mate!
Have you been there yourself?
-
Nope. Not even Switzerland...

Tough one... I don't think any of the big parcel services offers full insurance for a 2K watch.
DHL and UPS are both limited to 500 EUR (for watches) and still quite expensive from Germany to US.
I think I'd go for UPS and live with the insurance gap... no risk, no fun!
The cheapest way is a registered letter with excess insurance - but I'm pretty sure it is also limited to 500 EUR.

Macallan 25... that's a nice one indeed!
Highland Park 12 yo for me today.

Sorry to hear that, Mark...
Stay positive! You will find a new job and it might even be better than the last. Who knows?

I see, Ust-Kamenogorsk obviously was the old name of the hotel. And according to the pictures I found you're very lucky to be in the "new" version...

shitty river, lol...
Mate, that's a long way from home!

OK, Kazakhstan then... Oskemen... Hotel "Ust-Kamenogorsk"?
Welcome back - New look and new toys!

Looking good! And charging for sales is exactly the right way imo...
