  1. I agree, that's not right.  Get in touch with TC, and see if he will replace it for the correct DWO.

Oh, I didn't buy it directly from TC. Got it used from another member. I don't blame him at all by the way, I got a good price and I am satisfied. Still I want to improve the date wheel. And I wonder if my watch might be TC's "factory direct" model. Did he change the DWO on those at all? Or could it be the stock DWO from the factory?

Most likely the dwo was not positioned correctly when it was installed, off to one side. I have fixed many of them

Hmm, but that's not possible if half of the dates are correctly aligned, or is it?

  2. Hi!

On my TC Sub LV the dates are perfectly centered from 1-18 and sit about 0,5mm too low from 19-31...

Is that normal? I had the same issue on my old WM9 V2 Sub, so this looks like a WM9 DWO to me.

Could it be that I have got TC's "factory direct" LV and the DWO is the old WM9 one?

    Thanks

P.S.: If anyone has a spare TC V2 DWO please PM me! :)

  3. Hi!

I might be a bit paranoid, but there's a lot of sensitive information in PMs: Real names, shipping addresses etc.

We're not dealers but after all our little hobby here is illegal in most countries and I wouldn't like my real name and address to be found out by some watch industry hacker...

So please guys, delete your PMs if you don't need them anymore. Who knows who might read them one day?

    Cheers

  4. Well, then you can get a Speedmaster or a Submariner as suggested on the first page! :p

Yes, I'll probably do that... maybe a Speedy... :)

As for Panerai, after the war the brand was frozen in an iceberg for forty years, only to be thawed out and resurrected by Sylvester Stallone in the 1990s. Seriously, the most you might find from Panerai in the 70s might be a depth gauge or a compass.

LOL, OK, I'll search for a Panerai compass. Do they need 24mm or 26mm straps? ;)

1976 was also one of worst years of the Quartz Crisis, leading old brands like Breitling to respond to the Japanese with monstrosities like the 9406 Navitimer.

Wow, this is one ugly watch...

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately I don't really like the suggested models. The Ingy is not too bad but... well, maybe I will just get a Rollie or Omega that was manufactured in 1976. Or wait, what about Panerai?
