I thooought that strap would match in with the silvered subdial I got another which I think will match in the same way from Halcyon which I saw but its still on its way to me

Well despite me reporting on a few occasions and a few others it sold for $2250 !! What is eBays problem? It wouldnt of taken much to check this watch out for authenticity!!

You have the high beat version Pauls is the Lobeat. The Hibeat has the incorrect hands. If you look at the back the rotor bearing has teeth whereas Pauls looks like an ETA bearing with the 4 slots at 12.3,6,9 (Approx) Plus regulator etc is different. Its a common tell on HBs if your wanting to know the movement and version etc.

It reminds me of a few watchs I saw recently on Techtalk, it was a small company that made a few models with similar placed double crowns and other positions. But fantastic job mate you must be very chuffed Wear it well mate, Is this the start of something? Could end up like Chris (Flav) ;)

Looking at it again I also think that CG could make a good destro CG looking at the hole on the reverse. If you take pics of the CG side on and from bottom side it will be easier to tell. You can also take pics of case from sides etc to judge the case

When I first bought a rep I had it serviced etc by a TD on here and it was the biggest waste of money basically it was a lube job on dirty parts whereas if you go to Domi etc he will replace poorly made parts with ETA parts as well as completely stripping and cleaning etc etc There is no comparison IMHO

But dont forget its also a rep and a bad one at that!!! In which case mate I would not know but I havent seen a 44 with that blue dial ie the tiny marker at 9 etc etc Given the DW and CG and CB its probably a fantasy

Thats assuming thats the cause of the problem, given how these things are built......... the other known issues could well be causing this problem

I have to agree with the guys here !! Compared to what we had and what this brings to the table I think its a great step forward and the CG looks great especially when you think how the 7753s looked on the dealers sites compared to in person, IMHO they far exceeded their pics. But throw into that the price and WOW what a great model its even cheaper than the older versions on the sites. I cant wait to see the watch in owner pics especially the case, bezel and crystal!! Though I would point out that I have read and been told from a couple of sources that there is another one which will be in the higher price bracket but because it still hasnt got through the GZ QC (Yes thy do have some!! ) it wont be released till after New Year (which one though i am not sure!!) this was released for Xmas as a filler in the mid budget range. Though you will struggle to be told the truth as these watches need to be sold..... So the choice is yours in terms of buy now or wait!! Though being Xmas post rush and all the increased risks that brings even if you wanted to buy this model I would recommend waiting till after New Year (Our one that is!!;: ) @Babola....Ooooooo!! It might be handbags at dawn if Sparta read that !!! ;) :)

I bought a gen JV 26mm strap a while back which I absolutely love and when I got the latest 250 I thought I would get myself a gen JV in 24mm to go on it, but although I can get these new with discount they are still expensive and I dont like the idea of buying a used one as prices are still high for decent ones. So what are the options? I have seen a few rep versions or aftermarket straps the poor ones look just that but they are cheap the better versions are close to the gen price so why buy an aftermarket when for a $100 more I could get the gen? But then I saw whilst looking through the straps section a guy that makes a pretty close version of the gen JV strap. I thought I would give him a shout and see what he could do, the guys name is Orloff or Mario, I found him to be a great guy and very willing to help. The quality of his straps was clear to see and that handmade feel was certainly better than the majority I had seen or had owned but what really made mind up to try his was the price.... simply unbeatable IMHO !!! So taking into account the quality and feel of the strap with the JV look and the price including shipping it was for me a "No Brainer" !! So here are some pics, the first couple are next to the OP Gen strap the others are on the watch though I did 'EdgeKote' the edges of the strap in black rather than how it came from Mario as I preferred this to the original look. (Though I could of got Mario to do this for me but wanted to wait until I had the strap in my hand ) I really cant recommend this strap enough or the price!! or Mario's services and skill. Anyone thinking about getting one of his straps wont be disappointed just contact him and he can help put together whatever you want!! (Within reason!!)

I tend to pick the occasion and the company to decide whether to wear Gen or Rep But I would say I wear the reps more than the gens however I dont just wear OTB reps. I cant recall ever doing that except in the house. They dont go outside on the wrist until they have had some work or modding
