I once had to sell a gen Patek Philippe which was owned by my mom's aunt who had passed away. I went into one of the most well known jewlers in the country to have it appraised. At the time I was wearing a rep Chopard 1000 miglia. I sat down with the appraiser for a good 15min while he examined the Patek and gave me the quote. When I left he complemented me for the Chopard which he always liked and even pointed to a gen on sale in the shop. :-)
