Most definitely, the guy seemed chill and wasn't familiar but recognized Panerai as a brand and it's value. We chatted a bit about what makes the watch so nice and cool. I was just curious as to everyone reaction, because im sure it happens to everyone at least once.

So some background.. I work as as supervisor at a theater and go to school. Obviously I cannot afford a Panerai or Rolex. I just got my first watch (Panerai 111) which I love, and today I decided to wear it to work. I haven't had anyone recognize the brand and my sleeve tends to cover it well. Today though I had a customer recognize the watch on my wrist and ask about it. I instantly froze up when he asked me how long I had owned the Panerai and how I got it. Has anyone had this happen to them? How did you deal with it? What was your response?

Hello everyone! I think I amm going to make the jump and purchase a Panerai PAM 111. Love the "classic" Panerai style and so I think this will be a good intro in that way. I was looking through the TD section and 2 caught my eye, ToroBravo ( http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=87 ) and Pure-Time ( http://www.pure-time.com/product/pam111-m-11-h-maker-edition-on-hand-stitched-brown-leather-strap/ ) Anyone have suggestions? From what I can tell they both appear to the be the same (same movements and same outer casing) but the one on Toro states it's the newest version? Any help in the matter is appreciated!

Hello everyone! My names David and I currently reside in California. I have always loved watches and to an extent collect, although my collection is tiny. Recently I was introduced to the higher end spectrum of watches such as Panerai and A. Lange & Sohe etc.. So I wanted to join the forum to expand my knowledge and and see what is going on.
