  1. thanks for your posts. i guess i'm going to take the b01....the bce looks great, especially the one you postet, cougaree, but the b01 with black dial and roman numbers is just awesome. now that i've made a choice, i'm facing a new problem. pt offers the b01 in 316L and 316F steel....the 316F version costs 60$ more than the 316L version....would it be worth taking the expensive one? or is the difference between the two version nothing to speak of?
  2. hey guys, it's been a long time since my last post and i was for a few month realy off from the whole watch-theme. but now the virus got me again. i searched a bit around and found two watches...and now i don't know which to take. on the one hand, i realy like the chronmat b01, but i hate the sunken date. while pt just offers the graphite one, the datewheel is white and i guess it would bother me every minute i wear it. on the other hand, the beezel is better on the b01 to my mind. see, i would just take the evo because of the date of the b01. guys, can you help me? would it be better to take the evo or shouldn't i be that pedantic and take the b01? has maybe someone a b01 or a evo from pt and can post some pics?
  3. great....the watch is stunning. i'm not a big fan of the vintage rlxs, but for this one i'd become a thief^^. very nice build...and a great story behind it. congrats^^
  4. got mine today too. like you, i ordered it with gen eta movement, but couldn't proof it yet. but i guess we can trust the guys. i modded the bracelet like bk wrote in his tutorial and it feels realy good now. i hope you enjoy your noob...i love mine very much...but one thing is realy bad. i guess the rep-virus got me in his hands now...can't wait to buy another one
  5. watch arrived today...look here for a review of eurotimez http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/110169-noobmariner-first-purchase/
  6. new update: pictures are available now. everything seems to be fine, so i approved the order. neo told me now, that the uk man is in holidays and will be back next month. he offered me to send the package by REG air mail with a guaranted delivery. if not, they send me a new one. i told him to send it by REG air, because i don't want to wait much longer. i hope the german customs won't check my package. my box came with reg air and passed the german customs, so i hope the watch will too. what do you guys think?
  7. the outside temperature is -15
  8. it's pretty cold in germany^^ but inside work for university is waiting
  9. it seems like fortuna isn't a big stormfather fan. received a email of helina today. first i was happy "yes..pictures", but no. she told me, that they are not able to get the noobmariner as f series like i ordered it, so she offered me the m series. i know because of you guys about the "bad" engravings, but i ordered it. i hope everything will go well now. the only real bad thing about it is, that i won't receive it before christmas keep you guys updated
  10. well, i saw this website a few days ago...but afraid of buying there because for international buyers he only accepts western union payment. and the manuals seems to be in a not so good condition. but i read something about getting a gen manual direct from rolex. you just have to call them, tell 'em your manual is gone and they'll send you a new one. anyone here knows about this? don't they ask for a serial number or something?
  11. well, i was a bit wrong. not the sub was on the way, it was the box. today it arrived and i'm pretty suprised. to my eye it looks realy nice. the manual is for the datejust, so i have to get one for the sub, but the rest is great. now waiting on the watch...
  12. just want to give you guys a little update. i ordered the noobmariner and the big box december 3rd. payed with paypal. neo told me, that shipping the box would take 10-14 days, the watch will arrive earlier. today i received two emails, one saying, that the package is on the way. not saying which item is coming. i didn't received any pictures too. so i guess the noob is on the way and i have no idea what it looks like. i sned them a mail back, waiting now for an answer. that's no big deal at the moment, just want to share the status of my order with you. i'll keep you informed.
  13. hehe....nice thread 1. GEN Constantin Weisz Professional 2. artificial (i don't like it) 3. well....a green one^^ 4. 6.23 feet 5. NRW, Germany 6. uhh...i think about...150
  14. well, most of my watches are quartz. but that's only because mechanical movements are more, as you figured out jazz4ivo, expensive. i love mechanical watches. to my mind, these watches are symbols of how accurate and sophisticated (i hope this is the right word here) humans can work. mechanical watches with a bottom window are very great...you can see everything in detail. the gears, the screws and the jewels....sometimes the movement is more lovely then the rest of the watch. as you might guess, i'm just talking about the gens, but i think also the reps have some very nice movements...most of them you can order with a gen swiss ETA so, why not? does having a mechanical watch means i have to correct the time every three to four days? of course...but isn't this worth by getting the possability to own such beautiful pieces of handicraft? i hope i could explain my point of view so you could guess what i feel for watches....even by my poor english^^
