  1. I fixed the clasp. I used red loctight 271 and a paper clip. I cut the paper clip to size, put the pin through the center part of the joint and put glue on the ends of the "pin". I put the joint together and left it alone for an hour. I moved the joint after 1 hour and about every hour after that to make sure the joint wouldn't lock up. It is a bit stiff, but only because I clamped a little tight. Good as new for now!!!
  2. The pin actually broke into two pieces. It just fell apart while taking it off. What kind of glue would I use if I rig up a pin of some sort?
  3. My 45mm UPO clasp broke. I am so mad. It is my favorite watch. It still locks together, but when I open it It falls right off. The pin in the middle of the clasp broke (the pin where the one bar folds into the two bars(sorry about the bad description)). I need to buy a clasp and/or bracelet. Anyone know where to get one or possibly have one for sale? Can it be fixed? I am afraid to take it anywhere. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thats a nice looking watch. Is that a gen or rep? I have also been looking at the new ballon bleu. Now i just dont know what to do. I think i still like the Roadster. We will see.
  5. Thanks for your links, They are what i have been looking for. I am contemplating buying the real thing. I think it is a really beautiful watch. I have enough gen (omega) divers and a couple of rep Panerai and i dont even touch my rep rolexes, I think its time for something gen and classy.
  6. The movement in this one is an automatic. I went searching for info on the Cartier automatic movements and found nothing. I just tried it on at the Cartier at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last week, and showing from the sleeves of a sports coat it looked pretty freakin good to me. the GMT is larger than the regular Roadster. I prefer it for its larger size rather than the GMT feature. I laughed out loud when you said your hairdresser looks quite gay in it. "Quite" was the funny word to me. anyway I got a kick out of it! Thanks for your insight.
  7. I was curious as to what you guys think about the Cartier Roadster GMT. The look of it has really been growing on me; its sporty, classy and a large watch, I like all of those qualities. My wife likes it too, as she is the one who pointed it out to me, which makes buying a watch much easier. (she hates my hobby on most days) . Is Cartier considered more jewelry than a watch? Are the movements any good? Are they tough?(i would baby it either way) Is there any info just worth knowing about Cartier or the Roadster GMT in particular? Can you point me to any links or articles. I have really not been able to find much information on it on the Internet and its killin me. I enjoy researching watches I am thinking of purchasing. That is half the fun, getting to know your watch (for me anyway)! Is there a quality rep. of this watch that I could buy or be aware of in case I buy a used Gen? What do you think? Thanks...
  8. Thanks for your info and help. I guess its not too great of a deal then. I have sold several watches to finance my desire for 1 real pam, and I really liked this one. So the case on this one is 40mm with a 5mm CG?

  10. Hello people, I am new at posting here, so a big hello to everyone. There are alot of experts in this forums good at spotting the fakes and with a wealth of knowledge about watches. I need help. I was wondering if the watch, i have hopefully attached, is: 1.Real or fake? 2. what model is it (Pam 126?) 3. If it is real is it worth 5k? 4. What would the retail have been? Any info would be most appreciated and could possibly save me alot of money. I do love the watch though. I am thinking of buying it and it is being auctioned by a local gallery for an estimated 4k-6k + 19% buyers fee + 8% sales tax. How high should I bid, or should I run for the Hills. Thanks everyone.

I also want my VIP membership that I have been meaning to get. but , whatever, I am wearing my 45mm UPO w/orange bezel and I am content for the moment. Then I will be after something new again. But the UPO is nice! Lets Give people!!!!
