  1. sub case looks great, you will need to replace that insert tho.
  2. the size of the crown on that thing is also give away...
  3. Guys u nailed it...the click wire was being pressed under the bezel and that's why it wouldn't snap tight. Realigned and it is sitting perfectly now! Thanks a million!!!
  4. this is extremely frustrating....i can get the bezel on, and it snaps when it sits down on the case, but it does not sit flush all the way around and I cant turn it....any thoughts?
  5. I took it off easily with a thin sharp knife so I could rebrush and polish the lugs. Putting it on again has been a mission. Every time I try and get it set back on the face it appears to not sit perfectly even around the watch, in that there is a gap between the bezel and the watch on some areas and others it sits perfectly flush. When it is on, it doesn't turn at all or click. I have the small wire click piece and the loose metal ring that goes under it. Not sure what I am doing wrong.... I have guessed that the metal piece around crystal isn't sitting fluch against the case and maybe that is why the bezel wont pop all the way down? Here are some pics:
  6. The scratches aren't particularly deep, however I would need to remove the bezel in order to get them out as they are very close to the bezel when it sits on the watch and I wouldn't want to scratch the bezel with sand paper. Also, I dont have the tools or the know how to polish up the sides of the watch. There are no serious, but I get the feeling that a bench grinder or something would be necessary to get these out.
  7. Does anyone on this site know where I can get some dings and scratches taken out of my BK WM9 LV M series, possibly anyone on this site who does it? I have some scratches and dings on the case on both the brushed and polished areas. Just wanted to know if anyone on here could recommend someone to put a mack-daddy shine on this puppy.. I'm not talking about using the titanium pad and polishing cloth (as is posted in a how-to on this site)...I'm talking possibly using Rolex pads, buffer, the real deal.
  8. You can order both from BK...if you mean rare as in rarely come up on the for sale section then ya. You have to wait for them to pop up and then usually be pretty quick to purchase.
  9. Is the HEV valve on the super sea dweller (swiss eta version) functional? As in, does it need to be sealed in order to waterproof the watch as a DSSD would need to be? Or is the valve on the SD purely for show?
  10. Niece piece! A gen crown on the bay will run about $50 and pretty sure will fit on your threads. A gen tube is expensive and I think you could better spend the money elsewhere (realign and center your datewheel, gen insert, gen crystal, etc.). If you're worried about waterproofing, make sure your gaskets are nice and cushy and grease your crown, tube and caseback then just make sure to pressure test before dunking.
  11. Looking to replace an oyster clasp that I broke off a two tone GMT II. I need the kind that doesn't look too "yellow" if you know what I mean. Here is an ebay link of what I am looking for: oyster clasp Thanks guys!
  12. Ok guys thanks for the diagnosis, can anyone explain how I could shorten it?
  13. I just did a half turn screwed down and it ran fine. Now I am doing a full turn screwed down to see if it runs fine. I suppose I will keep doing half turns screwing the crown down to see where the "breaking point" so to speak is.
  14. So I bought a 2 tone A21j rolex sub from an RWG member. Worked fine for the first couple days I owned it. Now I have a bit of a perplexing issue, hopefully you guys can point in the right direction with. If I wind the watch or turn it a few times to get it started and I have the crown all the way screwed down, the watch will work for between 10secs and a minute before the second hand stops ticking. However, if I do the same to get it started and I leave the crown completely unscrewed down, then the watch works fine like it is supposed to. What kind of issue am I looking at here? I am a relative newb to this, so would it be worth fixing (by either myself or someone who knows how to operate on it), or better to just buy another?
