One of the 005G dials by DSN from '09.

Not bad compared to his other 005 dials as well as cartel ones, but the logo size, thickness and position gives it away a little too much, IMO.

My first impression was also DSN, mainly because of the logo, a little "too much present" (too big & thickness)

I order 2 cg from TB and i can say that one had the top pin verry nicely finished (perfectly flushed & polished) & the second one needed some little help.

But no big deal, i guess it's some normal disparity in a massive production.

Lol... ok, before shooting you i would have be glad to help you on what model you will need but it seems like you have red only my last (verry, verry mean) sentence...

Nobody can know from the model, it depends on: automatic or manual? usual rep cg or TB, Sead, LH, gen etc... ?

And if you had go back just one page you would have known that PVD is possible

since op says I need version B for a manual 44mm with sead crownguard you should need Version F.

M 1,2 (is the stem size I guess) for manual... and for the sead cg you need the 0,85 version... so this would be F

Does anybody know if it's the same for Toro Bravo's cg ? choose the recessed 0,85 ?

And Malakei, even with a movement which allowed tight subdial spacing, IMHO the quartz dial is not so good, the subdial are not "recessed" the way it supposed to be

Reading a post here (or RWi i don't remember) with many links to receive free commercial catalog from different brand, i order few. And today i receive The panerai 2009.

And when i saw the 00000 & the 00005 and knowing all the flaws in Logo's rep, i thought it was funny to post 2 pics from the catalog :

So even in the gen, the logo are not always the same, regarding to series i guess. How the hell do the factories could possibly do a perfect rep with this ^^ ? Or the good point is that allow us to have a logo not pointing exactly at the end of the "E"

I can't tell you Pugwash but imho i would doubt that Rolex style hands would have the same lume than Seiko. In other hand i know Yokobies sell this entire modded watch, so if he do perfect work ... he should care about those things

But you can email him and ask for a lume shot of the model or ask him directly if its as bright, when i bought him the red second hand i asked him the same thing, didn't wanna see lume disparity in hands with dial.

Great photo of that Seiko LV. There is strange part of me that likes that Seiko LV -over- a Rolex LV. (Then again, I am a Seiko lover).

Thanks Ronin, in fact in the first place i decided to switch also hour & minute hand, but after done it i was not satisfied with the result so i came back to the original one , just kept the red second hand.

For the Rolex lke, i saw at yokobies one with the mercedes hands & bezel insert green, it looks good but too much "rollie" to me ^^

But who knows in few months... the hands + bezel for this one will be like 30$ shipped... not so bad for almost a new watch

Few weeks ago i bought a Seiko Diver 100 at the famous Mr.Lee (chronograph.com), it's my second Seiko and i have to say that for the price i was again surprised by the quality of the watch.

Here's the watch:

Then after 1 or 2 weeks seeing seiko's forum i say to myself why don't make it more "personal". So i bought a bezel on ebay and a new second hand at yokobies (he got tons of hands, dials, bezel etc... for Seiko).

My brother bought a case with all the tools for watchwork (if i remember right, it was like 40$ send by Noah Fuller, another Seiko modder) & with patience & little fear to make it wrong i made it

So here's the watch now:

In red maybe she looks more "sporty", but looking all my watches the conclusion was: damned, lot of black colour!!

So i'm verry happy with it, and if someday i'm getting tired of red, it takes only 10min to switch to the black bezel with:

Interest in Gen Moony parts ? well it depends of the price i would say,

For fitting in rep watches i know that hands don't fit without modification but it's absolutely possible to do it. I also read that case rep/gen is near 1:1 but i won't be absolutely sure gen parts will fit.

it's my grail watch so i made research about parts (ofrei, cousinsuk etc...) one day maybe... but if you wanna sell some parts, PM me ^^

Funny you thought about this combo, when comparing the different 005 from all dealers, i thought about brush/polish and i emailed DSN about it, his answer was:

" HI

pam 005 with brusehd case/cg and polsied bezel is possible.

Gen does not have this feature.

are you sure? "

Just to tell you it's possible, finally 1 went for an another dealer with a 005 "stock".

Yup, both have sandwich dials, had me fooled for a minute though.

And that spreadsheet though updated by me (and yes I need to do the more recent update with the recent announcements) was originally created and maintained by sssurfer so all credit goes to him for everything.

That was my remember for reading it on RWI, but i hope i will be able to thank him too, when RWI will be on again
