  1. Very nice,congrats

    Thanks!

    always bet on black !

Heh yea, 9/10 black dials. The Breitling SOSF is blue dial though, but looks black in that pic. I do love black dials.

Mate I'm sorry to say but that's not a very good box, practically all your watches are touching each other. You'd be better advised getting something a little bit bigger.

Yea I know what you mean, but the problem is that the damn watches are too big =D. If you notice the sub 44mm watches have no problem, none of them are close to touching (top right, IWC & 2x TAG.) The 44s wouldn't touch either if they didn't have the big crown guards (PAMs). I do have 4 large spaces under the top layer, I could put the biggest watches (Breitling SA, Graham and 2x PAMS) into those slots and spread out the other watches, but then I need to get more to fill in that box :D.

Generally I just try not to let them touch (sometimes it looks like they are, but aren't) and the box stays stationary on shelf in a wine cabinet.

  2. I had those guys take about 20 tiny dings out of my 350Z's doors last year..frikkin parking lot morons!

Dent Doctors rock! They did a great job too...all gone.

Ugh, my daily is a black G8 GT, and the dings that appear from parking lots can be appalling. I have like 2-3 at the moment, all small, I'm sure I'm the only one that notices them. But this is why I'm super picky with my parking spots with all my cars, I try to park where I hope others wont, hopefully where no one can on one side of the car (next to a curb) and very neatly leaving lots of room. Some moron will always park next to you though.

I remember one time I had my project car at the time (supercharged camaro) out and went to some shopping center. Came outside and some civic parked literally 12 inches from my driver door. Not enough to get in if you know camaros (big doors). So I'm [censored] off and I'm literally smacking the civic as hard as I can with my door to [censored] his [censored] up. It's the edge of my heavy ass door and I was using this car for road racing so I didn't care about a paint chip on the edge of the door. While I'm beating the [censored] out of the civic, I look up and see some guy walking over. Oh it's the civic's owner. As he walks up im still smacking the [censored] out of his car with my door. He looks at me, while I continue to [censored] his [censored] up, says nothing, gets in his car and leaves. Lulz, were had and I didn't have to crawl from the passenger to the driver side.

  3. I did that to a brand new car this year. Twisty friend's driveway with random [censored] around on the sides of it. The car has horrible rear visibility. Had to spend about $1k to fix it, but I couldn't deal with looking at it or admitting to anyone that I [censored] up the same rear wheel panel as you did, on my beastly new ride. So I took it right down the dealer and had it fixed before anyone noticed. Drove a rental for a few days and made up some story about why I didn't have my car to everyone that asked. Pride will do that :-P, hard to admit you made a rookie mistake when you participate in road racing, car shows, etc...

  4. Gorgeous looking piece, this is definitely on the short list. I don't yet own a single Panerai but I'm thinking 111 followed by a 212 on black rubber, just like that one.

I picked it up here on the forum, I definitely love it. The gen dial is really nice, especially under magnification when compared to a rep dial. Though I will say that the newer reps have got the lume pretty much down, the marker color and lume color are pretty much identical to gen dial. The 111 is a real nice piece too.

  5. Picked up this box from zappos when ordering some clothes on a whim. Here are 10 of my watches in the top layer of the box:

The watches are from top left:

    1. Omega Planet Ocean, Swiss ETA, stock rep from Joshua, on my own homemade strap.

    2. Graham Chronofighter Oversize, stock rep, on my own homemade strap.

    3. IWC 3717, stock rep.

    4. TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16, stock rep from Joshua.

    5. TAG Heuer F1, Quartz w/ hidden features model, gen watch.

    6. Breitling Super Ocean Steelfish, Swiss ETA, ETA datewheel, brushed bracelet.

    7. Breitling Super Avenger V3, gen dial, gen pro II bracelet.

    8. Panerai Flyback 1950 PAM 212, gen dial, gen chronograph needle.

    9. Panerai GMT PAM 063, Swiss ETA 2893-2 gen movement, fgd caseback, gen crown, few other mods.

    10. Panerai Ghost PAM 237, stock rep from Joshua on my own homemade strap.

  6. Can you show an example of the B logo problem?

Maybe post a pic of the 'off the peg' and compare to either a good rep or your gen dial?

edit: the reason I ask is because I have a white/cream dialled one and the Breitling logo is hard to pick out (it's silver on a light dial, tiny and I really ought to get some reading glasses) but I'm pretty sure it has a loop on the B.

    Hey, just saw this.

Here is a picture of my dial:

Here is a picture of the rep dial from Joshua, you can see the emblem is wrong and the font on the print is not quite right either, but much less obvious than the bad emblem IMO. This watch is BIG and the emblem on this one is rather large compared to other models.

There are rep dials that have mostly correct applied logos with the loop, but not on this particular watch. On the SA, the model with the loop is the printed logo (not applied/button/emblem style) such as on the PVD model.

  7. I've used Watch Eden before. Personally I was not impressed with their customer service. I understand they don't manufacture the items and often can't update their site fast enough to account for availability. I wanted to order a few items there in one order. First I was told that one of my items was unavailable. Ok, fine I picked a different item. Then I hear back saying a different item from the order is not available. I couldn't really see what I would want to replace it with and I asked to cancel the order. Two days later I finally hear back.

I was told since I already paid I could "wait two to three weeks" for my money back or "pick different items and get a $20 credit". Fine I go through the process of finding SOMETHING else on their site I could possibly want within the price range. Ended up finding an item that I did actually like, which I am happy with. All in all it took about 6 days of back and forth between the order being placed and it going out. They are NOT a scam site by any means, but I wasn't particularly happy with the turnaround and customer support. The $20 credit was nice, but honestly I would have rather had more prompt support. Maybe I was just unlucky.
