  1. Here is my official first pic of the new kid on the block. As I said, bought a used B-1 gen and here is the wrist shot. Pretty cool. Initial observations after owning a rep Navitimer and titanium avenger is "what a tight watch". Just no looseness on any parts, perfect fit, The anti reflective coating is just OK, about as good as the reps and no better. I would say it's genuineness is most noted turning the bezel and looking at locations the band matches up to the case. Very tight.

  2. Tempted to say 'why dont you measure them then'

I was at work when I wrote that and wanted to get the order in before I got home. Also, one problem I have is my spring bar tool is too big to get in the metal bands and I am ordering a new one. So....I cant get the darn bars out to measure.

Primarily I wanted to know diameters. I figure the lengths should be fine....

    1.5mm????

  3. Awesome watch! Congrats. What color dial did you get? I love the steel/slate, but they all rock.

I went with the blue dial. Mainly because I have a blue leather band for my BCE rep that I can use for a super blue look. Hmm, perhaps I need to get an orange band for the PO?

By the way, thanks again for all the replies. It can be hard being a WIS - most people don't get it (including my wife), yet it is so darn exciting for me.

  4. Not sure if this is off topic or not, but I am so excited and don't really have anyone else to tell other than my friends on the board. Went to my AD Saturday and looked in the used case which usually has a bunch of ladies datejusts and ugly crap nobody wants. Well, they had a Breitling B-1. This is a watch I have always liked and don't think will ever get rep'd. New with the SS bracelot, it's like $3200 and they wanted $2450 for it. Seemed a bit high, so I asked them if they would negotiate that at all. Sure enough $1960 (20% off) and I coudn't resist. They are polishing the band and rebrishing the links. I pick it up Wed. Box included, although i don't really do anything with those.

Can't wait. Read some cool reviews on the watch and with 90% automatics it will be nice to have a alarm on a watch for a change. Anyone else out there a fan?

    :Jumpy: So excited... :Jumpy:

  5. I am trying to get some customer service after he sent me a White Steelfish instead of the Chrono Evo. No reply yet, but I am not worried. BTW, anyone in the states want to buy the thing? It's here and made it past customes.....

;) Well the BALL's are in the sub $1000 range, and this MTM is about $500 :D I'm really into the LED and Gas Light technology...ever since The Zigmeister burned my Retinas with his Lume work.

OMG, you really did it now! Love those watches. Now I need to decide which. Damn, damn, damn......

I was always toying with the idea of a Traser, but these are awesome!

  7. Yeah, just broke down and got the Chrono Evo so that makes 28 I think. Need to check the spreadsheet. PT sent me a white Superocean by mistake, which if you haven't gotten the idea from all the pics, is an AMAZING watch. There are people with 50+ easily. I am hesitant to ever sell any, so am thinking that I could be around 50 in a couple years. Matter of fact, watches are the only thing I really spend any money on.

  8. I have seen for quite some time people reccomending Timezones Sales Corner for a place to buy gen's or parts. My question is how does one feel safe and secure on that transaction? At least here I know people and can see how long they have been on, etc. Just wondering as I am considering a purchase.

  9. RE: Monsters

It is a great watch. Totally indestructible. No waterproof concerns. No concerns of it banging on the side of the boat and being damaged. Matter of fact, a bit of wear would make one look even better. Rubber strap is very comfortable and secure. Love having the "day" on the dial. For a couple hundred bucks it is a no brainer.

  10. So when I measure a watch, I go from the crown to the complete other side. Basically, I am trying to determine the largest width. Is this normal? I get the sense that a standard measurement on the board is just the diameter of the bezel. Which should I be talking about? Especially on dealer sites and ads.

My main concern is looking at the Breitling Chrono Evolutions. I own a titanium Chrono Avnger that seems a touch to thick and a touch to wide for my tastes.
