  1. The panda dial is loveley, I think all the 'dates' are and now my wife wants the white dial version. She wants to put it on white or brown leather. She may have a point, white dial on white leather pretty cool (for a girl of course).

White dial on leather strap would look something like this. BTW: that ain't my wifes hairy arm!

  2. Second question is that I live in The Netherlands and I like to know if there is a webshop that I can trust in the EU that can deliver this watch ? The delivery time from Josh and Andrew to The Netherlands is 28 working days by airline. That's a long time

Surfer, just ordered one from PT, 18 days delivery. Also check out member Hooky... he's a great local contact for us Dutch..

  3. Am I just being a noob? Or should I take it that there is no review and I should buy it and write one?

    Helle Benew0,

Don't know if this is any help to you, but I've compared my genuine classic carrera chrono with the one I found here. These are the flaws I've found:

The subdials are too thick and the color white isn't correct: it looks a bit silver-white, while mine is more off-white, like the color of the Daytona Paul Newman and the Speedmaster Legend, 6th title limited edition. I love this color on the gen by the way, it gives the watch a real classic look.

The racing strap (wich is a must if you ask me) has white stitching, but mine has black.

The back of the rep says 'Swiss made since 1860 Sapphire Crystal' in a round, then the Tag logo in the middel and the type 'CV2088'. That isn't correct. Mine says 'Swiss made since 1860' in a round, then the Tag logo in the middle, then the model wich is 'CV2113' and at the bottom it says 'sapphire crystal' in a round.

And, but you already knew that, the datewheel should be black on the black version and white on the white version.

If you want I can post some macro-pics, but I don't know if that is much appreciated, since it's a gen and this is a rep-forum (I'm new here :whistling:)

I love this watch and that is why I own it in genuine. The only thing is, I think it's a bit too small. I also don't like big watches, but in my experience a 42mm is the best. If you wear suits all the time like I do, a bigger watch is just trashy. It makes you look like a bouncer. My biggest watch is a Chopard MM GMT but I never wear it with a suit. So what Í try to say is: it might be a bit too small...

  4. I am visiting KL, Malaysia for a week tomorrow and would like to know if anyone here knows of any good quality Rolex rep dealers in Malaysia. I would like to purchase 1 or 2 when I am up there.

So how was you experience? Did you find any good stuff in KL? Or anywhere else in Malaysia? I'm going too..

  5. Friends,

I'v got this one for a while now, but I don't wear it a lot. Each time I do, I keep thinking that the dial looks grey instead of the deep black colour it is supposed to have. I realise that the picture doesn't show that, it looks black in the pic.

Next to that, the 'GMT' figures aren't sharp.

Who else has this watch, and has the same opinion? Has anyone got an idea of how to fix this? Are there other dials (gen?) dials available anywhere?

    It's a shame, because it's a really nice watch!

    Thnx!

  6. Taka is not a dealer on RWG. But you can find his web shop here: http://2geek.net/

Btw, Chieftang and Domi (both RWG members) can also carry out custom AR with great results.. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

So I got the datewheel from Cousins and the crystal form Taka on the way.. I live in the EU so I guess Domi is the man to see. Can't find him though.. can anyone point me in his direction?

    Thnx!
