  1. Killer review, and a 2-in-1 at that! Nice work Babola! The 177 does it for me... that Ti finish is great.
  2. 2 hours to fit! You must have the patience of Job! So it came with the bracelet, and you swapped it for the rubber? Looks sweet, nice alternative.
  3. Thanks for a great review, really sharp work - both text and photos. And the watch is a beauty of course!
  4. Unfortunately I think this classic IWC is not in stock anywhere, and the factory has stopped making them. Got this from a friend who was also looking for one last week, he tried just about every dealer in GZ. Good luck though!
  5. Moved to Pfaffikon eh? How is it? Town looks pretty dull - visited recently. Made sure I had no reps anywhere near me as well
  6. As Toad said, 2006 Aquatimer Cousteau Divers Edition, dark blue dial with white accents and a dark blue strap looks incredible on the wrist. Then again I do have the gen 3717-04 and Ingenieur as well so... And maybe you can try Google Translate next time (seriously, it helps!).
  7. What I don't get is why a lot of people act like the dealers are doing us a favour by selling to us. Okay we operate in a legal grey area but still, if they dont sell reps to us, someone will. In the end, they need to provide the service that we pay a premium for.
  8. Lucky find! The case scratches so easily though from experience... wonder if the rep steel is harder
  9. Another vote for the SD. Followed closely by 16610LV with the Kermit insert swapped for black. Love a maxi dial.
  10. Thanks for the comments, yes its quickly become one of my favorites. 44mm in size but wears bigger thanks to the huge crystal. Wrist presence is incredible, sits very high. The case is beautiful, with a high-quality finish and a classy blend of polished and brushed surfaces. Overall the rep makers have a winner with this one, two thumbs up!
  11. New arrival from one of our trusted dealers, probably one of the better reps I have owned - the IWC Aquatimer 2006 "Cousteau Divers". Some quick and dirty photos attached, comments and feedback welcome, especially about the dial. Thanks and enjoy...
  12. To owners of Josh's new 1655 - anyone had success fitting 2mm springbars to the bracelet? And the lugs, can they be drilled to fit the gen/OEM springbars? Edit: found the answer on another post (thanks Flyingwedge!) - both lugs and bracelet have to be drilled to fit 2mm springbars, bracelet does not take gen springbars out of the box.
  13. I've got a Noob LV I'm thinking of changing the insert on. Will the Noob case take a Wholesaleoutlet990 or Watchmaterial insert without any filing down? Any other good insert sources for the 16610LV? Thanks.
  14. Thanks Marty, the difference is clear! Do you think the Clark crystal matches the gen crystal in magnification?
  15. Would the right Clark crystal really be an improvement over the out of the box PC one? Can't believe PC haven't done a better job if that's the case.
  16. Great work, looks good for the $$. Now if only there was a safe way for us amateurs to make it look more "used"! Any ideas?
  17. I love the design too - the only thing that would put me off would be how blatantly inaccurate the "Schaffhausen" printing is below the date window. It should be exactly aligned with the date window.
  18. Looks lethal bud, nice choice. Is it black w/ white stitching? And off topic slightly, do the rep 3717 cases have all the right polished SS vs. brushed surfaces as the gen, e.g. the thin line of polish down the sides of the lugs and around the dial? I have the gen but the reps look so good I might have to get one!
  19. Ok, please let me know (by pm if you like) the prices of the movements you have available. And your sig mentions a Top Gun for sale, how much for that? Thanks Concepta!
  20. Great work, applied the paint as a spray or...?
  21. Hi Concepta, any gen parts for the Top Gun or Slevin available? Thanks.
  22. How easy is it to switch between strap and bracelet on the Slevin? I remember someone said they broke a pin changing the bracelet, so just thinking whether its worth getting both rubber and bracelet, or just go for the bracelet on its own. And how would this rep compare to the 3707 Ti rep in terms of quality, the price of the 3707 is quite a bit lower than the Slevin... Great photos by the way!
  23. Hands are still too short? Looks great otherwise.
  24. Siesta, is that a V1 or V2? Looks good - what's your wrist size? I have the 3717-04 (gen) and Ingy, love the style of this brand too. Welcome back!
  25. Just go with one of the trusted dealers on this board, you can ask a million questions but it doesnt guarantee you'll get a perfect watch. "Buy the seller" applies in this case more than anything. Oh - and you might want to take off the CAPS LOCK on the subjects of your posts!
