I'd say a J&W Nanuq. Case looks too thick to me, shape of the ax hands are off, the dial -bleck!, aftermarket T39, case is way too new (granted I can't read Italian and if the listing says NOS) and the insert sucks.

Great work JMB, as usual! The Tudor caseback is not only flat but a different shape, the teeth are actually channeled into the caseback unlike the 5513 where its stepped -if that makes sense. Higho's photo shows it well, I also took a quick side by side shot of my gen 7016 next to my 5517.

I was quite happy with the results on this one. I found polishing it after the bleaching with a cap code lightly gave it some shine. Many gen you see with a natural patina will be faded but still have some gloss to the insert, unfortunately when you bleach one it strips off the glossy finish. But there's still nothing like natural aging....

Today

Many of you have the same sentiments that I do -a bit saturated, bored, or have most of what I want. On another hand, I've stayed away on some levels as well since I'm trying to curb my watch spending and this place is a bad influence for me... I found lately that I gravitate to a handful of watches and many sit in the watch box. Perhaps a thinning of the herd is in order. Maybe collectors of all sorts hit this funk or point where their passion wanes. I've been giving thought to primarily fine tuning some pieces I haven't been 100% happy with and just spend some time with the friends I've made here and missed from my long RWG vacation.
