  1. Funny Stephane! It's been my 7016/0 all week: But changing it up today:
  2. Thanks for the kind words Ubi! Funny really, I don't have much of a strap collection... just a handful of straps. I've gone through many straps over the years but find I'm down to about 2 straps per the 3 PAM's I own.
  3. Here's my last strap project for a while.... Another RF MX buckle mounted on a Strapmasters Shark in charcoal finished w/ pewter stitching. Kudos again to Zack at Red12 for the work!
  4. Sweet!! Welcome to the FF club D. I agree, the way it sits on the wrist is nice -tall but not unbalanced.
  5. I'll let the movement experts chime in but I do know most 1575's are marked 1570. How's that for confusing!
  6. Magnificent Stephane, congrats! I've been so tempted lately with the better prices, I won't say deals... that are out there right now with vintage gens. You sir, have a fine collection.
  7. Thanks for the kind words guys! Nanuq, I eagerly await a glimse of the Gilt dial that you'd be sourcing!!
  8. With all this Snowflake talk lately, I realized I've been neglecting mine... So for today:
  9. DVS, Looking like a nice start. You may have stem alignment issues with an ETA movement, not 100% sure about that as the question remains if this is the same case as sold by Jewelry & Watch (Phong) or NDT. I had that issue using a 2846 in my Phong 5517 case which in the end I had to disassemble -too much stress on the stem/crown due to the uneven alignment of the mvmt to the stem hole. There are not many good Red 1680 dials out there, believe me I've been waiting. The ones out of Vietnam all have the wrong fonts and spacing on the print. I think this one is a little better but not by much. Please let us know how your project progresses! -TMG
  10. Updated with a pix of better toned hands and aged GMT hand.
  11. Here's a strap project with one of the RF buckles with DLC coating (by Avitt).
  12. Bob, Eurotimez sells a MBW 5517 dial, you might want to confirm if yours is 26mm to ensure the MBW will fit. Try MkII Watches for MOD hands that are made for an ETA mvmt.
  13. Congrats Redwatch, you own a cult classic! I love the straight seconds hand. I think DBR means having a re-dial done, not a touch up so to speak. Your best bet if the dial really bothers you is a custom dial by Michael Young (CWP), I believe Polexpete did this with his Orange Hand dial with nice results. It seems most aftermarket 1655 dials are screened with the indices too far inward, add to that the fact that the reps all have dial openings larger than the gen spec. I lucked out with my supposed MBW dial since the indices nearly touched the rehaut, so some of the indices only had to be touched up a hair to look "right".
  14. Gen 580's should fit B.
  15. Hi B, It's an oldie -one of my first frankens. Started life as a SRSD from Watchmaster.
  16. Yesterday: Gilt 1675 today: Sunday:
  17. Great shots Ubi! Glad I'm spreading the FF gospel, it's a treat to wear. I really love the Tornek version, it wasn't released at the time I purchased mine or it would have been my first choice too. You might want to try a silicon divers strap.... very comfy and it doesn't make the watch feel so top heavy as a G10. I like the vintage tropic style that Squinky sells on ebay and gen forums, they're not smelly like gen rubber straps and a bit chunkier than the original. Enjoy and wear it well.
  18. I can't stand the brand.... How pedestrian, predictable and boring!!!
  19. Giving the 1675 some more wrist time today.... Tomorrow: And Sunday:
  20. Wow, great effort as usual P -it turned out great!
