  1. Very nice results Z! There's something about a chocolate brown dial. Wear it well.
  2. Great pictorial R! The dial color is very cool.
  3. Sorry I missed this too -next time hopefully! Looks like a very nice GTG guys.
  4. Parts as well as entire watches. My gen Tudor 7016 was ~$1500 two years ago and now most are averaging $3k and up especially for the blue dial version. A 1675 also two years ago could be had for ~$3k and now it's at least $5500 -$6000. The transitional models are also going up.
  5. Mine was sitting around and I wanted something without the chunkie hardware. I have too many G10, Zulu straps etc sitting around. Timefactors also sells a straight Bond strap without the extra G10 piece.
  6. 5513 today with the UncleJay Bond strap mod .
  7. Great idea and how to post UJ! You inspired me; I did the same with a G10 Bond that's been sitting around, but I used the cut off piece to make a keeper instead. I sewed the extra piece together pulled the strap apart to remove the metal keepers and sewed new keeper in place. BTW, how is your proper Bond strap project coming along? I'd buy a few of those in a heartbeat....
  8. Well it looks like J&W has a vintage one on his website now as a regular offering, not cheap though!
  9. Great shot Freddy! I'll throw this in the mix this weekend too.
  10. No Rolex white dial but how about silver. This hasn't seen much wrist time lately but the wife has been wearing it -looks fantastic on her too, but I can't convince her to take a wrist shot.
  11. P, the crystal sits in a channel like most Chn reps and has to be glued in place. I used a Clarks aftermarket crystal on mine and used 1000 grain sandpaper wet and just took my time stopping every so often the check the height in the case. It's harder than I thought to do it evenly, just take your time and test fit it along the way. -TMG
  12. I noticed that too, a definite improvement on the Submariner font size
  13. BTW P, A T116 will need to be sanded down to be the correct height. I had to take a fair amount off. The bezel is next
  14. Hi PP, I have the same Silix 1675 and you're correct a gen dial is too small and will pass right through the opening. Sending it to MY may be the best bet. Good luck on the project and keep us posted.
  15. That is a beauty R. Nice review you posted too. I've been eyeballing the brown version for some time. I'm a sucker for a diver -what can I say!

    A few more -my gens
  17. Mike, A gen T116 will fit Andrew's ROLEXP2002 1655 model but it has to be glued in place. A gen T116 will also fit the "MBK" model as well, this one is also just pressed in place but has a more snug fit than the prior. Ubi is correct though the crystal sits a tad high, you could sand down the crystal a bit to compensate for that. I can tell you the Clarks aftermarket T116 ($5) is a very decent copy and probably good practice for sanding the height down.

A very tasty collection you have Jojo!!! Here's a stock group shot of my vintage. Sadly my 5517 is all taken apart and going back into "the shop" for work
  20. I saw this too on the bay and thought it was suspect, NOS is too good to be true -I think he had another one for sale not long ago. Nonetheless, it looks good and I'd jump on one if the price is right.
