I bought one last month by top dollar... but very disappointed and can't tell if it made of 904 stainless steel.
The watch was claimed that contained a clone 3186. But the fact is, that is a cheap clone ETA (not real) has the "3186" mark.
Date window is wrong shape... the worse thing is, there is a small gap in between the two tone bezel.
Now, I'd disassembly the watch... only keep the watch case and start a Franken 116710.
Now I spend another dollar to bought 1. Gen 116710LN bezel 2. Gen dial and hands 3. The SH3135 is on the way to me.
Asking Mike for a help to convert the 3135 to 3185 and put it together.....

Hi, does anyone has deal with this web site before? I'd ordered a 1675 case and paid more than 950 EUR through the Western Union. At the beginning, the guy reply promptly and nice. But after the payment been made. There are no any respond for two days... very worry!

Very usefully information and learn more to know the direction of thoughts.

Very good project, and I like your bezel..seems very "old". Perfect aging! good
-
wow...terrific perfect project! especially the bezel and dial are perfect match. Hope I can start a similar project.................well done!

cg = crown guards.
on your next bezel insert, I'd do more fading and less scratching, it's just my personal preference of course.
It's all I did to my bezel.
I like the way you done to your bezel...look good and natural, more fading is better
let see my next bezel..

Great use my case make the PERFECT Look very Nice David
Hey Dave,
Thanks for your case..as I said, I'm planning to start a new project 1675. But little busy these days and no time to take picture mail you my movement photo...I'll mail it to you soon.

It looks great...
No need a adaptor ti ETA 2814 movement for that case?
Hi hava, that's good quiz. Of cource does need an adaptor for every ETA in Roloex case.
My uncle (an old watch maker retired from Hong Kong RSC) make a plastic ring for me...but I just know there is RWG member can provide me a adaptor, so I will purchase form him next time instead of bother an old man..

yeah just a little more from the inside of the CG's.. same angles but just take out some meat from the inside, then you got in nailed.
I like the bezel insert too
Hi Dizzy, sorry for silly question. What is CG's...I'm trying to stduy more from RWG.
I planning to start a new project Rolex 1675, hope can start soon...

Thanks you guys...
Because of this is my first vintage Rollie project (except the gen one from Phong). So there are a lot of things need to fine tune, for me it's too raw.
1. The bezel aging, it looks okay as I wear it. But when took the picture seems bit "over"...
2. The dial lumne aging not very steady, need to tune the color tone little bright.
3. The datedisc fonts need to be more exquisite (have to find a better material).
4. The word "submarina" is little too small...(the size should fit red letter sub).
I list the photo of datedisc due to some members like to know more..
I modified the original ETA datedisc, burnish the number paint first until see the metal reveal.
Make a perfect template with Adobe Photoshop..
And use the low mil printable membrane and laser print the new rolex fonts on it. Glue on the disc and blow with low heat hair dryer....
Sounds easy but I'd failed many times..I rather pack up bag take a trip to China find a factory next time.

What a bad news...but I totaly agree with Admin.
It ain't charity place, even they do business with no honest!
But I suggest Admin can set the permission little bit high. Have to be the VIP member first, then start to sell watch or anything. And make the donation on everytrade. (At least avoid some walk-in guy with no honest).
I think a "real" member doesn't mind the rule.

Hi Blix
I think your numberal on bezel is little bit toomuch faded.
And the hands and dial really need to aging..especially the GMT hand too shiny.
By personally, I would prefer 78360 bracelet is better match 1655, seems completely original.
The last thing, it really give you away is the crystal. Absolutely wrong magnification.
But generally, your watch look nice. Keep on! good luck

I always feeling lucky to find this place. Can chat with a group of expert with same interest, may learn a lot......Now I have confidence to start the 1675 project, thanks!
I just got a source for spacer ring from a forum member, Case from DW and crystal hands from Clark..wow

Just got a message from Yukiwatch.
They said ETA 2836 movement neither fit their 1675 case nor their adaptor ring...bad news!
Petrified..
What can I do now?
-
Adaptor is ok for both 2846 and 2836-2 but far more important is that yuki sells the adaptor with a dial made for an eta so no cutting of dial feet or glueing but email yuki about a queries with regards dial/movent holder!
Thanks aero, but Yuki dial for ETA is bit unperfect..since the date window shape is 4:3, the gen one is 16:9. So the aftermarket dial would be more preferable. I said that because I was done the aftermarket dial cut feet and glue on the ETA 2836 for my 1680...
Yes, I'd just mail them...

Sounds everyone could see the pic except me..
Anyway, good for you!!
