nice pictures
Having just received my all black portu from Andrew, I compared it with other reps and sumbled upon this one:
(sorry ingenieur for borrowing your photos)
See the smoothly recessed subdials? ... comparing it to my gen 3714 that comes much closer to the gen.
My rep now however appears to have a dial similar to this (imagine it in black)
what's the deal here, what's everyones oppinions on the two different dials? Anyone know where to get that "more genuine looking" dial from?
Thanks

Is the diver extension properly closed?
I mean, properly placed in the closed position. The extention where it folds has a F lange that sticks out and it should be inside the crossbar that keeps it in place, when the diver extension is not properly closed the F lange sticks out and rests on the crossbar, not allowing the clasp to close properly.
In here: http://www.chronocen...seamaster.shtml
There is further explanation on the part "What is the Bracelet Diver's Extension for and how do I use it?"
Even when the shown example watch is a classic seamaster, the advice applies to the PO diver extension.
Hope this Helps
Hi mate, yes I read the informatio, the Diver had been close properly, thanks for sharing
The diver's extension is a portion of the bracelet clasp that, when popped open, extends the length of the bracelet by 3.1 centimeters (about 1.25 inches). This allows it to instantly change from being sized to fit on your bare wrist to the larger size needed to fit over the sleeve of a wetsuit. While interesting, this is a feature that is of virtually no use to anyone who is not a wetsuit diver. Though it could be used to wear the watch on the outside of an elastic jacket cuff in cold weather.
One critical point to note when operating the diver's extension is to ensure you have closed it properly when done. The small [censored] on the extension must fit under the crossbar. Failure to close it properly can interfere with the main bracelet clasp--causing the clasp to pop open unexpectedly while you are wearing the watch.
1580/952 is the smaller 42mm PO
1579/951 is 45mm UPO size
thanks for the info my friend

Hi guys, I just bought the Omega PO 42mm 5th generation bracelet but the clasp seems not close properly, I had search in http://www.ofrei.com/page666.html the genuine replacement but confuse between two types:
- Omega PO Bracelet Clasp 1580952
- Omega PO Bracelet Clasp 1579/951
do we need the clasp attachment links?
please advice thanks

Is that a gen black dial? The tachy ring looks more like the gen and the subdials are deeper but the numbers don't look stamped like the gen.
nope both are rep dials

Wow Wow Wow, nice collection bro, I must say that you're the one who has the most watches in this forum
excellent taste as well

I agree with chronoluvvv......The variety. Plus the "bang for the buck"
For the price of 1 genuine, you can try out 10 reps......Wear it for a while and see if you like the style, then sell off the other 9 and buy the gen if you really want it. I like tooooo many different watches and its fun to try all of the different brands that you would never buy the genuine version. I certainly have no problem buying the gen of the ones I really love, but it was fun to try out reps like the Graham and Hublot, I would NEVER buy the gen of those brands, but it was fun to try them just to see what all the fuss was about. Truth is, the reps of most models give you a pretty good indication of the gen without all of the upfront cost and resale depreciation if you didnt like it.
A good example for me is that I would have never bought a SINN until I started buying reps. Now, it is one of my favorite brands and I have a gen U1 and have built an ultra-franken U2. I would have never even given the SINN brand a chance until I heard about how good the rep quality was, tried it and fell in love with the style and realized it was the perfect diameter and thickness for my taste.
Now I'm hooked on Sinn... (no pun intented....)
totally agree with this

No way, whatever the concept is, USD 15000 for a quartz watch is a nuts.
you can spend USD 2000 for a nice genuine Tag or Omega + an Iphone with world clock, alarm and other function you need.
it's not worth it in my opinion.

Hi guys, I'm wondering when will the the AP Diver rep available, is it difficult to make a good rep for this type?
-
WOW WOW WOW excellent watch, don't need the genuine now
-
Hi Theo,
can't help coming back to see your lovely AP damn I love the AP even more now.
-
New AP's or AP's which have been out of stock have the new movement. Like the Silver Themes was not available 4 weeks ago, it comes now with the new movement. If the dealer has old stock, you get the old movement.
hi guys, I want to buy AP ROO either Panda or Safari or maybe Volcano, but still affraid with the sec @12 issue.
should I take the sec @ 9 to be safe or take the sec @ 12?
please advice, thanks

My vote for the Rose Gold

fantastic strap, could you please let me know how to order that strap? is there a website for HK Tan strap? thanks
-
LOL, one for the work day and one for evenings? I am probably going to unload some soon. It's fun, but time to let some of them go.
Wow what a collection, thanks for sharing. one year is only 52 weeks, so if you have this collection, you're supposed to wear each almost once a year only if you rotate one every week hehe
