+/- 4 sec/day in 6 position after overhaul is consider very good for the asian 6497 in your 111H... reluming will be available soon i hope... Some pictures of servicing the cloned 2836 in GMT II for another member here... movement was having problem of stopping... problem might be caused by the added GMT gear... Movement out of case... Dial taken off... Movement dismantled Movement assembled and oiled... no problem now...

Sending the watch to someone who knows what they are doing would be the best way... Trying to fix it yourself wiould be taking a freaking big risk... for all you know you might be making it worst, or even worst damage the whole watch.

It's been a while since i last log into this forum... really nice to see some of the old timer still hanging around... I started my rep hobby 4-5 years ago from RWG, slowly moving to the more technical aspect of the hobby... started modding reps... service them... so on.... A pic of my work desk (on a good day)... Currently servicing this DW 6263 Daytona (i might letting this one go once it's completed, anyone?) Misc tools for watchmaking... I love to restore vintage pocketwatches too... some pocketwatch i've restored... Last but not least, my watches... (haven't been buying watches for a long time... what's good now?) yes... thats true... maybe they have more 2836 lying around than 2824...

IMHO they are equally good. both have 25 jewels and have a 28,800 bph basically they are the same except... ETA 2836 comes with day and date function ETA 2824 only comes with date.

Movement taken off the case... hands and dial off ready to go... movement fully disassembled... a tiny drop of oil should do the trick for the pallet jewels... movement almost fully assemble, only left the balance wheel... movement fully assembled... close-up shot... all cleaned and oiled... shiny... dial and hands back on... all done... thanks for looking...
