  1. Consider this post an informational message for anyone considering purchasing a watch from Trevor. I was searching for the Ultimate DSSD and after quite a bit of thought I felt that based on the recommendations from people on this board that Trevortime would be a safe bet. I asked a number of questions about his merchandise to which he always replied. I then asked for exact photos which, once I paid, he provided. I declined the first watch as it had blemishes on the band. The second one he showed me looked great and I proceeded. After waiting a few weeks the watch finally arrived September 15th at the post office. It appeared to be in good condition and looked great on the wrist. By September 28th the watch was not working. I reached out to Trevor every day since the issue and he has failed to respond. I could see if I purchased a $35 rep off the curb in Manhattan that the quality might be an issue. However when I spend $240 (with shipping) I expect a watch to last more than two weeks. This sort of thing is exactly why I was so hesitant to make this purchase. I have tried winding with no success. I am just amazed that this guy believes that just ignoring the problem will somehow help his business or situation. So now I will tell every board I can find about what a low grade crook this Trevor is. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a DSSD look elsewhere unless you'd like to take a chance on a similar experience. I am told that it could probably be repaired for under $80 but the point is again that it was just purchased and to be honest if I wanted to spend upwards of $300 I could have gone with a better version or movement. Trevor will sell you a watch and if it's defective you're out of luck.
  2. Since this was the thread that moved me to purchase the Ultimate DSSD from Trevor (asian movement) I figured this would be the best place to post an update. I received the watch about two weeks ago and really loved the look and feel. I was very hesitant at first in purchasing a replica watch. In better times, before our economy and my business fell apart, I owned quite a little watch collection. Unfortunately I am in no position to spend $8000 on a watch right now. As a result I made the plunge and for the last two weeks have been pretty impressed and how many compliments I received about the watch. Today that all changed when I woke up and found the watch had stopped for the first time in two weeks. With other automatics I've had I could just move the watch a bit and it would come back to life. That didn't work, so I gently wound it and that failed to wake the movement as well. Now I have an incredibley heavy paperweight of a wristwatch that is only correct twice a day. I did reach out to Trevor but have not heard back yet and to be honest the idea of potentially returning this one and waiting a month for another just sickens me. I think in the future I will just save my money for the real deal again and avoid the headache altogether. I wish I had my $225 back...
  3. I've gone back and forth with Trevor this past week with different pictures until I felt comfortable with one of them. It just cleared customs so I am very curious how things will turn out. According to him, the $225 model I just purchased is water resistant though I probably wouldn't wear it any deeper than a pool.
  4. Thanks for all the feedback. He still doesn't see the rust so I've asked to see pictures of other pieces. He sent the following which isn't the easiest to make a decision from. Could anyone give feedback on which of the following looks like the best dssd ultimate?
  5. Plaifender, took your advice and went with Trevor for the DSSD. I just received pics to review prior to shipment and something caught my eye that I am a bit concerned with. Look at the sides of the links nearest the case and nearest the clasp. At first glance the spots look like rust or (hopefully) oil/grease. Any thoughts, check out the pictures?
  6. Based on this post I did reach out to Trevor by e-mail earlier today. And I really do like what I have seen in this thread. I've owned a number of watches but never considered a replica until recently. Somehow I stubled upon this board and it has been eye opening. According to what I've read here it looks as though it's best to communicate by e-mail first and get picks prior to purchase. I haven't heard back from him yet so in the mean time I am looking at all options. There is also a favorable mention of BK as well within those three pages and that was the purpose of the question, to find out how to reach BK. So far though, it appears that Trevor offers the highest quality piece for the price. I guess I will find out for myself shortly.
  7. I am new here, could someone please tell me who BK is or provide a link to his site? I am looking for a DSSD and any great reference will really ease my mind in making the purchase.
