Who the hell cares about a watch box? and at this price!
-
Just came across this ebay ad for a vintage Tudor box for Monte Carlo
Sounds crazy, no?
-
Is it the ETA 2846 version?
-
You should send it to Domi. He's in EU. I will add 3 jewels to the movement to make it more reliable.

Ah ok, i know his website but didn't know his name

Hey guys,

My spinmaster 7032 went recently to Rolex Addict Spa for some modding.
All i can say is that he did a fantastic job and he's a real gentleman to deal with. He took time to answer all my emails very quickly and gave solutions to all the problems that went through the process.
This is the list of mods he realized:
- install gen plexi
- install gen crown
- custom build tube because the gen tube couldn't fit
- install yuki hands
- shorten minute hand like gen
- apply new lume tritium style. I must say that I'm impressed with this lume job. It's amazing how he replicated the puffy effect of old tritium lume...

Still some details to work on but i am more than satisfied by the result for the moment.

Thanks so much for the comments. The hands, as Alligoat said, are genuine luminova.
I knew someone would ask how much the project cost and how it compared to a gen. I must say that I enjoy the search and ability to put this together myself. I know that it isn't 100% genuine but I get a much greater satisfaction looking at it on my wrist than if I bought it over at VRF. That being said, here is the price breakdown.
Midcase: $700
Caseback: $400
Crystal: I had it in my parts drawer
Crystal Retaining Ring: Parts drawer
Bezel and Insert: $500
Dial and Hands: $550
Tube: $25
Crown: $150
Bracelet: Taken from my 1665
Movement: $600 (I was able to trade some spare parts in to bring the cost down)
Total: $3025
I know that the bracelet would have brought the price up substantially but I am reworking my 1665 and took it from that until the time comes. I probably could have gotten a genuine for a little more than what I have in it, but it wouldn't be what I want. I had a 5513 back in 2008 that I paid almost $4500 before I sent it to RSC. The price for the service was almost $1500 and that included a new bracelet, dial, hands, insert, crystal, tube, and crown. I almost have to take the price off of the table when it comes to projects like these. Does that make sense?
There is one on VRF that was sold today for the same price!

great work!
-
very fricken nice!
now that being said...
question is, how close is your total cost to that of a gen rolex made gloss 5513?
Yeah I wanted to ask the same question!
-
Why ubi? Why? How can you sell a beauty like that
-
Splendid dial! I'm amazed by the work of your guy.
May I ask the price for this dial?
-
You always amaze me ubi! Love those builds!
-
Very nice for the cost price!!
-
Yes it looks brand new
-
Correct, but I don't know why the depth rating is hidden under black painting. You can see the relief with a loupe

Don't go to an AD to authenticate it when you paid that price!
Even if it's rep it is worth the price
