It fits perfectly on the Phong case but when I tried to swap it out and put it on the DW case, no go! The spring bars don't line up.
Anyone else have this problem? Does this mean I need 571s from DW?
Thanks
Unfortunately, most people assume ALL Rolex watches are fakes!
We can't win. We strive for perfection amongst ourselves only to be secretly looked down upon by the masses who do not know any better.
I have an old school MBW 1665 that's been sitting in the drawer for about 12 months. Lugs have been drilled and the case softened a bit. My only issue is no one, and I mean no one is wiling to do the HEV drill mod for me. It appears to be a pain the ass!!
I have the HE valve ready to go, gen crown, gen tube, gen crystal, gen insert, gen 1570 movement.
I am down to hands and dial and the damn HEV!
Any other case options?
Interesting, thus far, I had spent much time on the dial spacing and found NDT to be slightly more accurate on that front. But after your comments, I see what you mean. It's all about the "Comex"
Thanks
Gathering the parts for a 1665 Comex Sea Dweller. Looking for your help on accuracy of the dial. I've done some homework and have a preference but will let others chime in.
Also, any other options out there?
Thanks
NDT - Dial
MQ Dial
Phong dial
Gen dial - what a beauty!
Why not make dials that fit the gen movement as opposed to ETAs?
In any case, best of luck. As others have said, If you can make something worthwhile, you would have lots of buyers for sure!
Keep us posted.
Wow! Serious machinery. Maybe that's why Rolex costs thousands of dollars.
So much for "women power"!
TC, I certainly appreciate your ongoing dedication to the cause. Guys at VRF and TRF would lose their minds if they read this!
