  1. Hi, I will be asking my engineer, that very question this coming week, I dont see any reason why part of the overall number required for this initial run couldn't be in Ti, I would assume the setup and machining process will be exactly the same.

I'll check it out anyway and post the answer.

The response so far looks encouraging, it looks like we have about 24 required at the moment, but

can i just remind you interested parties to email me please, to confirm your interest along with the number of CG's you would take.

This is to enable me to have an easy check on the total needed, I'd rather not have to keep toting up from messages on the forum..

    Thank you

    Mr Smith

I'm in for a Ti CG for 177H and sending you an email NOW :D

  2. big? check the 47 pannies and the breitly bentleys... i do however like this latest one alot...

does it have screws or pins in the bracelet?

    and comments on the AR?

    :-)

I think Sam's is a Gen... ;) So yes, it comes with pins on the bracelet

Anyway, the red font on blue sinks my boat ... But that caseback is awesome.. These new gens should have AR unlike the old model which does not

  3. What I am asking is let's say I pick up a watch that runs on an unmodified asian 7750... I don't get it serviced and in a year or two it fails...

Is it usually pretty easy to pick up a gen 7750 and swap it in rather than repair the broken asian copy?

Remember that the hand hole sizes are different for the new Asian 7750s with a Valjoux 7750..( There was a The Zigmeister post about that too...)

Sooo it will be the ripe time to source that gen hands that you always want. ;)

It also depends on the model.. the 7750s that I know of have running seconds at 9 (not at 6)

  4. The replicas work.. since you're looking for an 111h, I am assuming you are looking for mechanical replicas?

These mechanical watches follow the same rule of any mechanical contraption (including genuine watches too): they have mechanical parts that will be subject to wear and tear. In the case of replicas, the Quality Control is not very good, so the 'engine' so to speak, will be sometimes dirty, sometimes clean, sometimes lubed, sometimes dry..

All these questions are not hard, but can be found if you frequent the forums for, well, say 3 days and you invest time in researching around it; your questions have been asked frequently by other forum members in the past.

I was once a newbie too, and still am a newbie in many areas, but do take your time and slowly digest the information this site has to offer.

    Cheers and welcome! :victory:

As I said I've searched! I'm not new to forums, I promise. ;)

My questions weren't that hard were they? I don't need a big writeup, just a few lines on how the replicas work, do they work? Or do they break often and easily?

My budget is as cheap as possible but I'm willing to pay more if it means the watch will work for a long time, I will be using it as a daily watch.

Thanks again, I understand I'm not the first with questions but please bare with me.

  5. I second that. I am still reading and re-reading even now.. It's funny how once-read posts have new content and meaning once one's knowledge on this subject increases :D

    Welcome! :victory:
