After I offered to replace the goods and pay for return shipping he just lodged the claim and stopped responding in anyway at all.
You still got his mailing address right? Why don't you send him a bag of horse sh*t in the mail with a red bow on it!
-
Very unfortunate outcome Ken.

LOL! You're not alone. Every once in a while when I get that itch, I go look at boobs. Amazing how well that works.

Argghh gen crown and tube ordered, let the real fun begin. I can already tell that this lovely little forum is going to damage my credit card! To think all I wanted a few weeks ago was a rep that told the time and didn't have fauxlex written on it.
Lol. You're hooked already! Hope you have deep pockets...this addiction is like no other. Proceed with caution.

It's an assortment of metal shavings and bits from a lathe. It's a variety of brass, hardened steel, stainless steel and aluminum. When shaken in the case, it takes away some of that new shine and scratches up the case quite nicely
I also used it on the crystal. I put a protective sticker on the underneath side and then shook it in the shavings jar Looks just perfectly aged
Are you looking to age the inner bezel also.
-
Ok, someone pls help me understand how the JMB case aging trick works. What are the filings?

Awesome comparison. I still need to find a bracelet and endlinks for my 7032.

If you cant afford OEM then try Orloff (Mario) he has produced some of the most OEM like straps I have owned.... but you need to be clear when you order exactly what you want in terms of padding, stitching, etc to meet oem specs....
If not go for Hirsch.... they make the OEM straps for OP but also make comparable straps under their own name
Got any pics to share?

Thanks for your input. I have a OEM IWC 3714 strap, a OEM Cartier Santos strap and I like the look, sleekness and feel. Was really wondering if any of the gen PAM watches came with straps like this or not. So far, the PAM straps I've seen are fairly bulky making it impossible to fit under my dress shirts.

Interesting hypothesis with lots of valid points.

Remember reading this story a few months ago, it's pretty strange!
YIKES! Time to sell my F91W...LOL!

New to PAMs. I know there are several strap makers on the boards that do fabulous work. What's the best OEM-like strap. I'm leaning towards gator atm.

The 1:1 Nautilus also has an improved date wheel, which probably involves an overlay to shift the position of the date to fix the date window position issue. So, you're probably best off just transplanting the movement and dial from the 1:1, which avoids having to remove the hands.
If you do decide to do this, please keep us informed, I would be interested to see if it works out.
Will do...
nice custom project but the franken definition threw me off since there are no gen parts involved.
That was just to get you to view the thread.

I will soon have in my possession an MBK Nautilus from Reg with correct dots. I think the only thing that'll bug me is the position of the date window. Because of the superior fit and finish of MBKs Nautilus, I'll prefer it to be the base for the project. For a watch of this caliber, this is critical. My plan is to use the latest 1:1 Jumbo Nautilus movement and dial from the cartel and implant it in the MBK Nautilus. Not sure if this would even be possible...
MBK Nautilus
Case Diameter: ?
Movement: ETA 2824-2 ???
Latest Nautilus Jumbo
Case Diameter: 42mm
Movement: SW200-1 or ETA 2824-2

"Made with 3 gen watches...this is da Bomb!" LOL!
-
Which one was that?
-
With 7.5" wrists, you'd probably be better off with the Cousteau, but I like the Slevin.
-
FrankenGen...LOL! Very very impressive! Where's the obligatory wrist-shot?
-
Is that an OEM strap?
-
If it weren't for the over-dramatic dude, they would be a cool pair. Thanks for sharing.
-
LMAO!!! That's hilarious!!!
-
Pardon my ignorance, but why's the 234 movement that much better than the 773X?
