Hmm...curiouser and curiouser.

It seems that the PAM 120 isn't a 120 after all. Upon doing some research it appears that I have a rep of a PAM 69 or 70. I think the 69 is the bracelet model. They look almost identical except for the LswissL on the 69 and Swiss Made on the 120. Maybe the dial textures are different but I can't tell. The caseback has the markings of a 69. "op6529" is common to my rep and pics of the gen. Also the production indicates 5000. The 120 reads "op6625" and the production is 400 which I believe is correct for the 120.

Here's a really bad pic from my phone.

There is no current price list for the 69 or 70. The latest price was back in 03 or 04. Is the 120 a newer version of the 69?

Does anyone know anything about these? Responses to any threads concerning this model are very rare and not much comes up in the search.

Submariners are much easier to deal with and much more documented

Pam 69 and 70 is brushed case and bzel..Panerai Upgraded this model to 119 and 120 with polished bezels.

Oh well, It seems that there is not much interest in this model.. 12 hours has passed and not much comments..... or did my post stop those that is always telling others to "wait for the next version" from commenting ?

Later today I will be in loading new and upgraded pics of the Pam 250 in Swiss 7753 on my website.. Subsequent pics will follow in the next couple of days for Pam 250 In Asia 7750 and Pam 251 in Swiss 7753/ Asian 7750..

Upgrading is done to the bezel and crown guard in which it is corrected to have a brushed finish..This is in line with the genuine.. For the caseback, it will be upgraded to have the word "Luminor" on the outter curcumference as well.

For those who have bought this watch from me.. Please contact me to cliam a new caseset ( FOC) from me with all these upgrades.. I will send the new upgraded caseset along with your next watch purchase.

As of today, I can ready to deliver these 2 models in the new caseset with all the above said updates.

Hi Fellow Friends..

The last few days.. Chinese authorities are raiding the outward bound postal storage facilites near the coaster cities... Thus packages are forced to move around and in some case, airway bills has to be swapped.. So if your tracking is not working.. Please dun be alarmed.. It is merely adminstration... Please do expect a few days of delay in things.. and let us work the extra mile to get the package to you. Dun come telling me you need the watch by such a date because you need to wear it to impress your inlaws !

Also I noticed there seems to be a back log at US customs during the past week, it is taking longer than usual to clear out the packages.. Much like the Christmas period, so please be patient.. Your package will arrive. I am not a custom officer.. Please do not ask me how long more you need to wait.. I am not being "irresponsible" as quoted by someone for telling you "I dunno" ....Becos no one knows.

In normal case, I simply reply thru mails, but I think some of the guys NEW or OLD bies simply dun understand the intricate nature of this hobby, they panic into threatening actions and I did get a file for chargeback because my tracking nos given to him is not showing... Thus I think this post is neccessary.. Dun keep blaming the newbies.. Some old guys here are just as bad.

This does not simply applies to me alone.. I am sure the other dealers are facing the same as well since both sides of the delivery chain is now slightly affected.

To begin, there are 2 different makers...

Maker of the 0117 case offers watches with options... Mineral or Sapphire crystal.. This is the only maker that is able to supply sapphire AR coated for the 1950.

Maker of the watch with the 0581 case ONLY uses mineral crystal on his watches.. The 0581 case is not as refine as the 0117 case as well. 0581 can be disassembled conventionally... i.e. bottom up... The 0117 can only be disassembled top down... instead of accessing from the caseback, the bezel must be popped. This is the same for genuine 1950 as well.

It seems that a group of dealers may be swapping out the top sapphire crystal and swapping out the 3 main wheel screws from blue to ss... Bottom line is that it is still using 0581 case.

Why are they using the 581 case instead of the 117 case.. My deduction is due to costs and also availability of the 117 case to them.

Some may argue, the caseback does not relate to the overall watchcase.. In the rep industry.... the case, caseback, crystal is consider as 1 single spare part...this is known as the case set. I do have a couple of cases of Crystal breaking and I send out a complete case set to my clients .. those who has received this from me can verify this fact.

Hope the above clarify the doubts..

E0117/1950 case is the correct case with sapphire front and back, AR lightly coated.. The 0581 case is mineral glass, the doom is also not as high and incorrect shape, inaccurate dial and the case is not correct.

Most dealers are using old supplier re-circulated pics.. what is delivered to you might be the the 0581 case in the end from their suppliers. Thus please clarify with your dealer that you will be getting the true ultimate version...

"Still the recess Pin" I think you guys should start to accept that this will never be achieve out of rep factories.

All Pannies will have the Pin Recessed.. Why is it recess in the first place ? it is due to the 9.00 subdial needle, if needles are install flushed the clearance of the hour and minutes to clear the 9.00 sub sec hand is very little .. Even you modify it, it will work ok only for while.. I have tried this on my own and I think so have many others.

There is no way that it will be flushed. It involves precision parts to have it flush.. Every different dial surface requires different tolerance, Reps are using common universal parts...more fogiving parts. The recess pin is due to installation based on bigger tolerance values.

Just remember there is no free lunch in this world..

As dadog mentioned... All the elements of the equation are there. We know hobnail dials can be made... Markers can probably be borrowed from the RLX LV Sub's maxi dial; hands, etc. are all available...

Thereafter, some anal retentive guy will come in and says that the case back is incorrect, it should be this and it should be that...
