  1. Hey guys!

Just wondering how good or bad is the rose gold found on Reps.

Is there any way to know this besides past experience?.

For reference i'm contemplating the AR500 with "rose gold" bezel.

I handled the watch at Nordstroms recently and liked it very much.

However i'm a little concerned with the "rose gold" bezel on the Rep.

I'm guessin they flake or that they don't take knocks and dings quite

    as well.

Here's a link to the watch itself.

    Thanks

  2. Hey merry men!

Just wanted to put this out there:

WHY DO WE SPEND OUR MONEY ON REPS?

    Obviously i'll start:

For me, i have always had a hard time justifying the prices that these big companies charge for watches.

I hava wanted to get a nice proper watch for a couple of years, but everytime i try one on, as nice as the watch is

can't really find where al the $$$$ is going. My wife says "your buying a brand name on a bracelet", a friend of mine who's in marketing told me that most expensive watches are basically "prestige for sale". So i recently ordered my first rep and feel like i'm giving these big conglomerates the finger. I'm telling them "screw you and your greed power hungry schemes".

There's also a lack of fresh, innovative, nice designs from more budget oriented brands, right now there is only one "affordable" nice that i like, but it basically is Bulova's homage to the Royal Oak.

I wish that start up or affordable brands would come up with nice designs.

I'm attaching a link to the Bulova i mentioned:

So why do you buy them?

    Thanks for sharing

  3. sure he was scammed.. Any website that says the watch has "japanese" quality is a scam site. Plain and simple. Regardless of whether or not youreceive the watch. If you pay too much, receive low quality goods, or are deceived into thinking the product is something it is not.. it's a SCAM!!!!

You are assuming things, first off our friend says that the watch is beautiful and has great build quality, second off he never says that he paid too much. His problem is that he THOUGHT he was going to get an automatic replica and he got a quartz. That's his main problem.

Suppose he spend 150 bucks for it. Was he scammed?

The problem is the lack of previous research and the shitty description of the watch on the shitty webpage.

If anything i'm surprised of the OP's naivity regarding the purchase.

How much did you pay Bruxon???

  4. had one for a while with a Chief'd out crystal

incredible to look at and ran just as well

the crown being glued to the tube was highly unreliable though so SpeedyG spot-welded it for me the 2nd time around :D

Thanks for the reply!I ordered one from trustytime.I'll ask them about the issue with the crown.

    Thanks!

  5. Hello!!!

Well i didn't get the Pasha, cuz my wife (it's a gift from her) likes the Riviera's better.

So....i know there's a review of a Riviera pinned on this same forum but alas, it's from an

"apprentice" dealer. Wanted to know if anybody here has bought one?

This is the one i'm getting. Anywho, another question, should i order it now or wait until the

weekend when Chinese holidays are concluded?

  6. Hey yo!

I am getting one of these soon, i'm new at the forum so i just wanted to hear if any of you guys

    had past experiences with Seatimers.

I guess that most of the reccomended dealers will roughly have the same price, but regarding dealers

i noticed that "silix" describes their Seatimer with AR coating while the others don't; and another thing,

i read somewhere on the forum about a dealer that actually took pictures of the actual specimen bought prior

to shipping -but for the life of me i can't remeber- can anyone help me out here?.

    Thanks guys!
