Ok guys, I´ve been reading so much now about this and now I´m confused, Is this wastch a V2 or V1 Navitimers Fighters SE?

I got this watch in the silk market in Beijin, 200 USD

Sorry about the picture I took it with my mobile, the watch is really a V1 WITH NO SUNKEN DW and shiny subdials and the fighters caseback.

hakr: Thanks I got the dial from swiss ebay and it is very weird because this watch looks like a low beat one but when Domenico opened the watch it had the metal plate mod for GMT, but he tried a ETA7750 movement and it fited ok, the date could be sunke but we were planning doing a DW overlay the original dial we don´t know yet....we´ll see... But the most interesting thing hapened to me I just bought a GMT IIc for Modification from sneed and I´m also doing this Navi project and the thing is I´m in Beijin now and I just found a unused brand new navitimer V1 lowbeat watch and a new Rolex GMT-IIc with a aligned rehaunt!!!!!!!!! 2 weird birds in one shot hehehe!!!!!!!!Needless to say I´m very happy :-) If our navi project goes well I will sell the V1 navitimer fighters here, stay tuned.

Sneed are you sure I don´t have to shave the Dial?

So finally the watch is over Domi´s work shop he is going to put a GEN 7750 with Gen Navitimer handset, already has a Gen bracelet, and I got a gen dw, Domi says he will overlay the datewheel and modify the dial feet as well, he promessed to take pictures, the glass went yesterday to Uwe for double AR, I will put some pics.

JoeyB, this is the same I´m buying i contacted Josh and he has them on stock, it will be my christmas gift hehehe.

Freddy did you painted you Bezel it looks great, I got one from sneed and he painted the bezel with platinium paint, i was holding the original yesterday and they look pretty similar, the xtal is a must I agree. Great watches by the way!!

Don´t think I have not made my homework, ByThor´s reviews are good and i also was reading Elprimozen review on the GMT II but a lot of the pictures are missing this reviews are 4 years old and i was also wondering if Josh still has this amazing GMT II retro model with the lugholes.

I´m more a Breitling and Omega guy but lately i have fallen for ROLEX :-) but i´m a real noob with them ;-(

So I´m getting a GMT IIc ultimare version Swiss ETA 2836, I was wondering what are the most recomended modifications for this watch? Please send pics. I´m also thinking on getting a coke bezel GMT II retro from Josh, some say, and I almost believe it too, that this is the best version today any opinions on this? I have a Gen GMT II glass with AR cyclops, and new Gen Bezel insert this one would go to Domi for superluminova any other modification I need to know about this model? Best Regards

Domi is going to service the movement and install the Gen DW and put super luminova on the dial, Uwe will make the double AR on the glass, I won´t put my Gen Dial on it because you probably need to shave it to fit it in.

I think if you lift the plate and gears and if you need so, elongate the pins for the dial or build some support points for it and then make a date overlay then you will solve this issue, I will prefer to get a low beat case, believe me I will buy it on the spot even for 3 times his price!( I have eta7750 movement, dial, handse, DWt all GEN), but there are none available, polexpete had a nice solution too drilling the hole in the case but I´m not such a good driller myself ;-) I´ll try this mod with Domi and I will let you know how it goes.

I was discussing this with Domi and we are going to put an overlaying datewheel ( as i have 2 original old navitimer II DW), he said this shoul not be a problem. We can experiment with one and have the other case that something goes wrong

I´ve been looking at it and it seems that the plate is not attached to anything and if you don´t need the GMT complications? My point is that what would happen if you remove the plate/ wheels for the GMT complication (if this is possible)?

Could one use another movement, like a skyland ?

There is no way of removing this plate?

At least the rep makers should offer a more expensive version with the A7753 and correct date wheel, I´m sure it would sell like hot bread!

Just put the watch on on a swivel box the it would be running all the time so major date changes won´t be necesary, I would not mind to turn the crown to set the date as far as i don´t get the ugly sunken date.
