  1. I suggest you to go for the black one as nearly all J12's white is not as white as the gen. Not a spot of yellow but the whole thing is a little bit yellow. If you really need to go for a white ceramic one. Please contact your dealer to shop for a special mech. choron version. This one is really white but the cost out of the factory is three to four times then the one being offering now. I think that is why it is not on the dealer current offering. Your dealer should be able to get this. If you go for this option, you pay much more. Good thing is that not many people is getting this and close to everyone thinks its gen.
  2. Look really good, however, is the white dial with Roman number exist in Gen?
  3. Sounds not logical to me commerically. If the silver one is much cheaper then the gold one, then, we should see all silver plated movement around. Why they need to pay higher to get the gold one? Sorry, but does not sounds right to me.
  4. After I read this thread, honest, I think the admin team needs to do a better job than this. The dealer in this forum, of course, they contributed and needs to be protected. However, it should be in a better way instead of stopping others' review. That Guy named George, if he put in 4xx for a Sub. People reading the forum should know his price is high. The admin team can create a price table that list all the price from the dealers. (This is not a secret as they publish in thier web site already.) People can put comment after the review. For me, I did not post that much and just join recently, also, I just started my rep collection. I keep on flying into HK, China, Thailand for business purpose and lucky that I can meet those guys who produce them. With the current price tag, unless the dealers are shipping the watch out in US or EU after hand pick the good one. To me, for those who send EMS package out from China are the same as George, George is just more greedy. If they ship the watches in US or EU and they deserve to get the margin as members has no need to worry about custom problem and they can return back to US or EU to their dealer for repair. Take an example, a PAM 111H (AR, g-neck adjustment) with a cost less then USD100, you check how much they are charging. I can hire a girl with USD300 per month, hand pick them and ship out with USD150. Six watches recover my expense!!! Therefore, in order to serve the community, Admin should post some basic information of how the shipment method, payment method, committed warranty, return policy, price list etc of individual dealer, then, let us, the reader decide on which is good for us. Just out of the topic, people here keep on talking about perfert sub. To me, a perfect sub is the one I get, 1:1 copy. What I mean copy is a exact copy, even copy the movement. (The other one is Omega SMP) I just have a chance come across these two. Any part is exchangable....... Tell you guys a story, 2 of these Omega had been brought to HK and accepted by a Pawn shop. They can only found out it was a rep by contacting Omega to verify the serial number. (For those who know, you should know how professional those people are)...So, stop trying to hunt and you will never find them from the dealer here.
  5. It is just my feeling on this. Of course, they want to make it as good as possible but in reality they cannot do it. Let's look how a watch can be made. The case, the dial, the hands, crown etc..... There are a lot of metal works which need a reasonable size machine and a good mold (which will be worn out after xxx run). There are factories that make dial, hands, etc and no one factory makes all. Just the 'assembler' guy gets from different factories and make a watch out of it. It is not a legal business and no one want to keep high volume of stock, so, once the 'assembler' guy goes for production, he will get what ever available in the market and make a watch out of it. He will not wait for a week to get a better hand etc... etc... He will ty to get his investment back ASAP and the shorter time he gets hold of the watch, the shorter time of the risk being caught. Very normal behaviour. So, in case you find a good batch of reps, get it right away, it may not last long and you may get another batch that may be totally different.
  6. FYI, If he is a real direct from factory, you should be able to get a AR coated, swan neck 111H beow USD110.
  7. Looks like a stupid question. (maybe just my rep problem, I should get it changed) I just received my Omega SMP Chrono that I never had before, I find that the screw for the chrono function cannot screw in or out like my daytona. Chrono is functional but seems not able to get water proof. Is it the gen like this?
  8. If you are planning for good in Australia later. Do not bring all the watch with you. Pick one or two you like most and ask some of your friends to send the remaining to you later. DO NOT risk to bring all of them in by yourself as if you are unlucky, you will get a record and it affects your application as PR later.
  9. In the forum, I learnt that there are different kind of lume and the watch looks great after re-lume work. However, I am trying to compare with the original one which I find that the lume is actually not the same for PAM 111 H, by my visual, there should be three different color on the original PAM. The brightest is the hour and minute arms, then the running second is a little bit less bright while the dial is least bright. For a best rep, should it reproduce the same effect or just my visual is in-correct, the orginal PAM is of same color on the lume.
  10. Sorry for such simple question. I got my rep on Breitling today and I would like to resize it. After I unscrew the tiny screw, how can I get the stem off? Not like relex, after unscrew, the whole thing comes out. I can just able to get the tiny screw out. Thanks for the help in advance
  11. I bought two reps of Sub, which had a big price difference. one was around USD100 and the other was USD200. The USD200 has a better dial and Bezel. Anyway, the question I would like to ask is about the movement. After I open both case, the USD100 one is with a gold/copper movement stamped with ETA. The USD200 one is a silver colour plated movement. Also, with ETA stamp. Do the movement make the price difference or I just paid too much for the USD200 one?
