I had a Rubberclad on an OEM Hornback for a while. With a lume job and AR , it can look just as nice. I'll try to find pics. I think I've had every ROO available and the Panda is still my favorite.

Even if they get secs@12 the limitations of the 7750 will have inaccurate subdial spacing. But it would be more acceptable for sure with secs@12.

Yup . That's what I have suggested to him. But new AP folk need to understand that Franken on an AP isn't about simple parts swap. I have a Franken IWC 5002 , a Super Avenger and they were much easier than an AP.

All case screws were replaced because the originals were damaged by a modder

Unbelievable. I am well aware of what you're saying. I didn't start collecting time pieces yesterday. Have you bothered to read the known flaws on this model ? I'm sure you have not.

My honest opinion is that Franken is not worth it.

Seriously , what are you seeing ? Stop wasting the dealer's time. Other members are trying to make purchases . Pay attention to what you're being told.

I'm viewing them on a 24" screen and I have no clue what you're talking about. You really need to do some reading on what to expect from rep watches. Dealers don't send you QC pics so you can parade them around the forums to find microscopic details. The purpose is so you can make sure you are getting the correct watch , and something major isn't wrong with it.

What scratches and dings ? Do you have some sort of super human vision ?

Black lume isn't that great. It will look nice under a blacklight, but it's pretty useless. The GEN Panda dial has black lume which is also not that impressive. Here are some pics of my watch.

I am a big fan of the Panda. But a dial is rare. I've seen a few for around $2k with the tachymeter. You will then need to find an LWO 283 movement. It's not as easy as some may think. I have a fully modded Panda that I was thinking of making into a Franken. But I'm Satisfied with how it looks now. I have the jewel mod , black lume ,double AR and an OEM strap.

Angus listed some new ones on his site. They are better but the biggest flaw is still there. The sunken date. What we have to understand is that issues like dial spacing are dictated by the 7750 being used. So you won't be seeing those corrected anytime soon.

Oh. I assume you're aware of all the necessary parts and custom labor involved. That being said dial availability is the key. Depending on which model you choose , the dial pricing/availability varies. Start with a dial and go from there .

Why did you get a Vac modded ROO if you plan to Franken ?

All AP rep straps are trash, except for the Rubber ones. The RBII strap is decent. But anytime you buy an ROO figure in the expense of a new strap. OEM is the way to go.
