  1. I too was wondering the same thing.... in the prototype pictures there was a clear difference between the grey and black. Now the grey appears to be black indeed.

It almost looks like the graphite dial with a white ' Automatic' writing....

I was asking the same questions on TRC...guess we'll have ro wait for Angus to post better pics if in case there is a difference.

  2. i apologize because you are trying to stay cheap for this one but don't do it. the best way to go is expensive but worth every penny! a brown gator deployment strap from thewatchboys.com on a rep pam deployment looks amazing on this one! makes the watch look like a $10,000 gen. worth it trust me. worth the money as you will convince yourself it's a gen watch with this quality strap!

Does this take 22mm or 24mm cause thewatchboys.com has only 22mm straps right?

  3. I just recieved that exact same watch from eddie on wednesday. I am straining to find ANYTHING wrong with it. The quality is truely superb. The only small issue is with a couple of the links that stick and don't move as freely as they should. I was told they will loosen up as the watch wears with time. When you say you have a problem with the release buttons, what exactly do you mean?

Funny you mention that...I've had two links stick too but they're ok now. The pushers seem to be not as smooth and looks like they need lubrication but havnt heard it from about it from anyone else so I think its an isolated issue. Awsome watch though. Love it!

  4. Just received my PO from Eddie Lee. Have to say, awsome service and communication from him and always gives you good advice and points you in the right direction. Love the watch but the only thing that kind of bothers me are the release buttons for the clasp, but otherwise an amazingly solid watch.

So here are the pics, first time venturing into closeup photography so tell me what you think...

  5. Can we get some pictures of lum shots of the new 46 mm B&R? Especially the black face - white numbers and hands. I would just like to know what this looks like.

    Is the orange one lumed?

    Usil

Still waiting for the pics huh? Me too...

Just received my 46mm from Andrew. Looks great. Big! but not too big. I have the quartz but lume

    Nothing

The swiss eta apparantly comes with superlume...

  6. I really really like the Seamaster GMT but I'm used to wearing bigger watches 44mm and 45mm. Since the GMT is only 40mm I was wondering if it would feels smaller on the wrist. So...

What do others who wear bigger watches and own the GMT think?

Does the thinkness make up for the smaller size?

Why is th GMT smaller than the regualar 42mm SMP and should I jsut get that?

    Thanks!!

Edit: Is it a working GNT?

  7. Looks amzing, this one!!

    Couple of quick questions though....

Is Josh the only one who carries the ultimate?

Also if you wanted to switch bezels from time to time should you get the black dial with red numbers but has the white triangle or should you get the orange whcih has the black trangle. Personal choice but which would you get?

Are there any lume shots of this out there?

    Thanks!!

  8. Try opening it w/ wearing rubber gloves but if it don't work buy a cheap wrench with the proper diameter at your local hardware (plumber) shop and put some tape on it (no damage to watch). You can also buy a Panerai case opener on Ebay.

After that tighten the 2 screws on the 2 large wheels.. check if it works good now.

If it doesn't, check if that screw is tight and the spring is ok on the "mini-wheel that clicks" connecting to the largest wheel.

If that's all good remove the winding stem like mentioned here and check if the crown is tight to it, also check if the winding stem is seated properly into the watch when putting it all back.

    Good luck!

    Fixed!!!

Actually opened it up with some mailing tape and saw that the larger wheel was slightly misaligned. Tightened it up a little bit and it started winding but realized that it was winding only half way. Turns out it wasnt sitting flat along with the other wheels so it took me a while to get it perfectly flat and now it looks good...hopefully I wont have any more problems.

    Thanks a lot!!! :)
