I'll I can say about my version is it is a great looking watch and I highly recommend it plus when will you see the gen in the wild to compare it to. On the 390 note my is coming Monday and I ordered it cause I like it but you can be damn sure there will be another two or three versions to follow.

I know mine has the updated movement but obviously not the hands.. I really like the way it looks and don't much give a rats a$$ if this ones not perfect. Tired of loosing sleep trying to get the perfect rep that's why I have my gens..

Used him for some time. I find that panatime's 40-50$ models are in line with smat's mass produced line (as opposed to the custom made. I recall smats prices as 65 ish and 85 ish

As I recall pho this was around a hundred bucks 6 years ago . I had this one custom made for deployant. Great looking and great strap for the money. Waiting for my 390 to come so I can replace the smat for the one that comes on it..

000 boring black calf / 390 vintage ass strap

000 boring little presentation box / 390 unnecessarily over-sized Ltd. Ed. box with a fake parchment scroll designating the unique # that you and you alone posses so you get a warm fuzzy feeling every night before you go to sleep glancing over at your "special" watch admiringly placed on the nightstand with the dial face aimed in your direction.

000 black hands / 390 gold hands

000 standard lume / 390 vintage lume

... other than that... I guess that's why they refer to the 000 as a "base" PAM

On paper, nothing is special about it, but it has a vintage feel (gold hands, faux-patinated lume, brown dial) that a lot of Panerai fans like. It was also a special edition that was distributed in a slightly more equitable fashion than normal, so the flippers didn't get every last one of them.

The thinking at Paneristi is that the 390 is a sort of 360 for those who didn't get a 360, and an apology for the clusterfrick that was the 360 distribution. It's not the stainless steel-cased 360 that they all want, but it's better than nothing.

Personally I think it's a very handsome piece and will be purchasing one when Noob factory comes out with one.
